Luminox P-38 Lightning GMT

Post by 93 Turbo » Wed Aug 13, 2014 3:27 pm

Just saw this listed on Gear Patrol, for <$1K I think in pretty reasonable for a watch I wouldn't be too precious about, also a big dual/tri TZ fan boy. Probably have a bit of fun with straps. J

I have several Luminoxes and I'd definitely would be interested in this one. They are pretty bulletproof.

+1 ! Wow, this is different for Luminox. :) Something about the meshing of the
classic style case, with the tritium, and whole GMT theme that REALLY works.
Cool Jules ! Thanks for the article, and for showing this one.

I like that, I've owned several over the years. There were a couple I should have kept.

Pretty cool, but a bit busy for me. I still have my original Luminox Navy Seal, bought about 5 days after they became a watch brand.

I dig it but the hands need some work, they don't really compliment the watch imo. Also I can't stand it when people cut up the numbers to put a date window in, either leave the number off or no date window.

I was just thinking about one of these, then I read the specs (from Luminox website) and the lug width is 28mm!!!

Luminox wants you to buy their straps. Some of their models are 23mm, which despite the fact that I own three I can't stand.

I like the look, I just can't take the hour indices and that cutoff 3.. Cool one though..
