Resco Manus

Post by Tallguy » Fri Aug 01, 2014 4:54 pm

Seems the Resco quartz is about to hit the site....like the looks but a grand is a bit steep. Makes me jones for one of those Seiko Solar Chronos though for a fifth of the price. ImageImage

If it had an auto movement I'd be more interested. Quartz at a grand makes me think used UX, which is in an entirely different class.

I like that.

What kind of battery life are they saying? The Seiko Solar is a cool little watch for the money.

I don't think the price is that bad. I was expecting as much as 50% more.

I agree. I expected $1595. If they still give the Mil/LE discount this would actually be a deal. It is very nice looking to me.

I like it but I'd prefer it with larger Chrono registers

Really want to add a Resco to the collection, but it'll have to be one of their auto's, hope this sells well for then. J

They'll probably be around 800$ on the preloved market which puts them around the pricetag of a used Tag F1...

Meh.
For me - for an $800 quartz I'm getting a preowned Tuna. For $1300 a preowned UX.

I think it's gonna be more like 600-700 max used. Used to be able to score the Patriots at 700-800.
Brand recognition has improved but it's just a quartz Chrono.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Resco but it'll be hard for this watch to carry a 800$+ used price

I dig the watch and I am glad it doesn't have some crazy ass Seal reference on the dial also. I do think 1k is to much for it but that is also what Kobold is asking for the Seal Only watch. I would pimp one for around $650 though, any more than that I will drop the cash for some Tuna.

not a bad looking Resco, but having anus on the dial is a little off-putting, even if it is preceded by an 'm'
