Love this.

New one for me. For a variety of reasons (the main one being that a trip to Ireland put a big dent in our bank account), I ended up selling the Daytona. However, that allowed me to get this BNIB:

Pretty happy - something about these Subs and SDs for me. Still planning on consolidating a little more to pull some more money out, but waiting for the right piece to come along.

The AP 15300 again today. Managing to put a tiny little scratch on the bezel yesterday (not sure when or how), but I am thinking that will relax me a bit with it on the wrist since it is no longer pristine. Happened when I put a ding on my older Rolex No Date the day after I got it in mint/just serviced condition, and after the ding it has seen water, lake and kid duty with no worries.

Yeah, that first scratch is tough (I have had the same experience with all my APs) but it's kind of a blessing in disguise. Now wear the shit out of it!

Reminds me of a time that I was in a boat shop. Guy buys a brand new nautique. Pays for it. Asks the salesman, "So, it's mine now, right?" As soon as the salesman says yes, the guy runs down the entire boat keying the shit out of the paint job, and says, "What a relief to get that first scrape out of the way. Now we can have fun."
