The BBs are crying out for the in-house. The case is already thick enough to accommodate it without needing to increase the thickness of the watch, I imagine (although the gen 2 Pelagos is thicker than the ETA version, and that's a thick watch already).

In-house, black bezel, gilt accents, no aluminum ring on the crown tube=I'm buying.

Can you please confirm that? What are the numbers? Thanks.

The reason I ask is that it surprises me because I'd assume they had the in-house in development so why reengineer the case for Gen 2?

I'm pretty sure just the case back is a hair thicker on the Peli

Yes this is what I read as well. Case back sticks out further. Same case.

Good to know. A thicker case would ruin it further than the extra four lines of text already do.

Also, not a huge deal but I liked Pelagos lume next to the date window. Did they really have to remove that?

The Black Bay has me conflicted; I love the look of both versions and I'm even ok with the ETA, but the crown issue bothers me, even though it's not happening to every watch.

The new Pelagos might be one to try, but a thicker caseback would make it less desirable on a NATO.

Me too - rarely see that and I actually loved it on the old Pelagos.
