Zelos and the Helmsman

Post by AtomicTom » Tue May 27, 2014 4:16 pm

Has anybody heard of Zelos watches? They have evidently been getting their start on Kickstarter.
With their watch the Helmsman, coming in a variety of different variations. There's bronze, and bronze
with DLC bezels, and stainless steel, with dial choices in black, brown, green, and grey. All with C3
Superluminova hands, and markers. The cases are 43 mm, with brushed, sandblasted, and polished
finishes on every watch. In addition, there is an internal diver's bezel, sapphire crystals, 100 meter
water resistance, exhibition case-back revealing a decorated Miyota 9015. Three straps come with
the watch in a gift box also.

A few pictures, and also links to the Zelos website, along with wornandwound's...

i kinda like the bronze case, but there's just something very "plasticky" about the dial. maybe it looks better in person.

i saw it on kickstarters a while back but it left me kinda wanting... just something about it doesn't do it for me though it is not a bad looking watch. I think internal bezel on a cheap/affordable watch can be more of a source of trouble than a positive characteristic... maybe its just me

Yeah, when cheaper watches have "chrome" surrounds on their numbers/markers, it often looks really cheap as the edges are not crisp.
