ScubaWatch.org
Hello DWC,
A while back it was mentioned that Clayton Rawn's famous ScubaWatch.org website was down, perhaps taken off the net for good.
I checked today and it is back up and running, complete with the cool music.
"Awarded a permanent ban by TZ." You gotta love it.

love itScubawatch.org has been recognized by the famed internet watch talk forum timezone.com with their highest award of achievement. We've been permanently banned! We have no idea what actions may have led to this reward, as the powers that be have not yet responded to our inquiries. We wait with much anticipation while basking in the glory of the following official communication:
“Your prior actions have resulted in you being permanently banned from this forum.”
Thank you to all who helped us get here.

The fake Omega spotting page on this site is worth every penny that you have to pay to go on it.
I bought my Spirotechnique from Clayton. He's a cool cat.

I like him more since he is banned from TZ. It is stupid how they never tell you a reason on why the either delete your post or ban you. Fck them I say!rain_maker wrote:love itScubawatch.org has been recognized by the famed internet watch talk forum timezone.com with their highest award of achievement. We've been permanently banned! Re: ScubaWatch.org
What the heck is there to not like about Scubawatch? Great photography, he doesn't steal anyone's images or text, and lots of useful information about divers that I would not find easily anywhere else. For instance, I never realized that Zodiac had at one point used a super compressor case until I checked out the Super Comrpresor FAQ page. Talk about surprised.justsellbrgs wrote:a great day it is.... thanks TR....

I find it pretty funny that he's been banned by TZ through some sort of Kafka-esque secret trial and conviction.

Re: ScubaWatch.org
What exactly gets you banned from TZ? It seems they have more than a few bi-polar mods.
Way too many watches

I don't think I post enough at TZ to come up on anyone's radar screen.JBZ wrote:In Adam's case, it's if you refuse to participate in the YMCA group sing-along.Jcp311 wrote:What exactly gets you banned from TZ? It seems they have more than a few bi-polar mods.
It did occur to me that the ranks of the banned, the ones I know of at least, seem to lean toward people with another website they maintain or an online business. I know they get tweeked up over links in posts to other websites, so maybe if you slip up once or so? They do have an awful lot of rules though, no discussions of price, dealers, etc.

Jeff, that is the funniest thing I've read in a week. Hilarious.

And if you look at the watch in the background, you'll also know what's going to be re-introduced in about one year.
Best regards
