Motorola's Moto 360 Smartwatch

Post by AtomicTom » Wed Mar 19, 2014 9:40 am

Anyone hear about Motorola's (Google's) new Moto 360 yet? It's a new Smartwatch that will be the first
major smartwatch to have a round instead of square case. The goal was to have a more traditional watch
design inspired by watches from the last 100 years. At the same time, the watch will also use Google's new
Android Wear operating system. Which is specially made for wearable devices like the Moto 360, or Google
Glass. It will also be able to take voice commands instead of the user having to worry about typing, or pushing
buttons also.

Specifications, as well as many of the capabilities are yet to be announced. The Moto 360 is set to be
released this summer. Some pictures, video, along with link to Ablogtowatch.com with more everyone...

I actually like that. It's the first one that looks more like a watch than a dork magnet.

I think it's nice looking.

One day, I'd like to see Omega/UTS make a case and Apple make the insides.

I bet this watch would look great on Nato. Better not be some weird 18.5mm lugs

I heard they licensed the last generation IWC strap system, so it should be perfect for you.

Dig that one... especially on the rubber strap. These things are starting to catch fire.

Thanks, Tom. :salute:

Don't mention it Tom. :)

Pretty interesting right guys? Not really a smartwatch guy really, but thought it was nice how they
were trying to be a little more traditional with the Moto 360. Now all we need is that nato like Art
wants, a long power reserve, and at least 100 meters water resistance.

They are definitely on the right track with this one. Can't wait to see the finished shipping product.
I wonder who will make the 1st smartwatch with standard width lugs...

"Game changer". Hmm. Not sure bout that. Cool maybe, but game changer is a bit lofty.

The bracelet looks like its straight from the 90's.

I heard about in passing on TV today. This could be interesting. I like it best on bracelet. The curved end links complete the transition to the case well. On a strap it looks like a Xetum.

Thanks for posting it, Tom.
only accurate watches are interesting
