This whole thing is so bizarre and Brice is to blame

Post by falcon4311 » Sun Mar 02, 2014 11:34 pm

He sent me a closeup of his Pelagos. I guess I'm now picking this one up locally. I've been infected with Brice flipperitis. It's so weird, I was just about to post in the WTB looking for a Pelagos then low and behold, there was one listed on the Canadian Watch Collectors forum. I wonder where the Hell the expression low and behold come from? Not only that, but it's in a city that I live right net to. We are meeting up tomorrow, I nearly shit my pants. I did pee just a little, damn I hate that expression. But I had to say it because I actually did pee just a little. I'm so stoked, I was going to go after a Breitling SOH but that email from Brice killed that idea. I'll post some pics tomorrow after I pick it up. This is the sellers pic.

You'll love it.
"30ish years of martial arts and I've actually had the honor of training lots of LEO, spec ops and even SEAL team 6 on base, fitness training, not martial arts, but still the coolest thing I've done.

Full on egg head corporate job and I fly quite a bit so I'm really looking forward to adding to my collection of TSA friendly self defense tools. I have amcouple tactical pens, but I want to up the game and get into some custom stuff. Been watch obsessed for a while but this seems more fun.

Thanks for letting me play! "

This would be more believable had you said this was your brokers pic. :raised:

No seriously, congrats. I like the pelagos more than the BB.

I tried to resist the Lure of the Pelagos as long as I could. I finally gave in, and I'm really glad I did. Such a great piece. I enjoy it now after a couple of weeks than I did when I first got it, which is saying a lot.

Ditto, I think Brice needs to check out that high end rental program that someone posted on WUS a while back haha I think you have to keep those for a month at a time though, too long for Brice's tastes ;)

very very nice.

On another note . . . http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/lo-and-behold.html

The word 'lo' as used in this phrase is a shortening of 'look'. So, lo and behold! has the meaning of look! - behold!

Well, I stopped by Aaron's place and picked her up this morning. My initial impressions are very good, the Ti is nicely finished, much nicer than the Seawolf and the watch has some weight to it but you know you're wearing Ti otherwise it would be a hefty watch. The lume is very good, this one just came back from Rolex, it was running fast so they regulated it and gave it a quick clean up on the finish but Aaron said it hasn't seen much wrist time. The watch looks brand new, literally. He worn it twice since it came back and it runs at +4 to 5 seconds per day. I had to ask my girls which watch they thought looked better between the Pelagos and the BB, one said the Pelagos and my youngest liked the BB, it's a toss up. I think they both look great in their own right.
