Wasn't shooting for TRF flavor I just thought maybe we're forgetting that there are nice watches that don't cost a small KIA. I know I forget sometimes with seeing WRUW and FS threads around here with 10K watches left and rightcali kid wrote:Great point Andy, there are many watches under a 1000 bucks that are fabulous watches, if we go around that price I could throw in my Stowa Pro Diver and its built as well as most of the watches I own! Kind of thread you would see at TRFsnootydog wrote:I enjoy wearing all my watches and the majority are under 1k.

The dial has become dark brown because of sun exposure. It is nice to have a vintage watch that looks like it has lived a little.
Both of these are possible to find for under a $1,000.

Most of my watches are under 1k - and I like them all, but if I'm honest, I enjoy wearing the expensive ones more

Not sure if you realize it, but that photo was one of the main reasons why I bought an SSC. Never regretted it either!rockmastermike wrote:< 1000 goodness from my past:

The Hamilton is 36mm w/o crown. The Croton is Submariner-size, appr. 38mm w/o crown. Sorry, no 45-50mm divers in the mid-sixties...

A Seiko 6105 MUST be in the conversation of great watches south of 1K.
One of the most comfortable case designs I've ever worn......and a great timekeeper to boot. Pepsi bezel was added by Jack at IWW when it was serviced years ago.
