From photos I thought the Bremont Supermarine was too busy. Once I had one in hand that changed. It's a very well balanced design.

Re: What's next?
Funny you should post this because I don't buy very often but have a new one hitting today (per FedEx, it's somewhere in my building making its way to me). Some of you are probably going to think I'm nuts when you see what it is.
Recently sold my Exp II 16570 (sorry Wu). Great, comfortable watch, but always lost out to the SD or the Speedy Pro. There was just no need to keep that much money tied up in a watch that I wasn't wearing, so off it went and I used the proceeds to fund the new one and put some money in the bank for upcoming home repairs.
Thus, as of today, my list is:
- Sea Dweller
- Speedy Pro
- Datejust
- New, to be revealed mystery watch
- Timex Expedition for the gym, lake, etc.
- Crappy Movado "museum watch" that needs a new battery (anyone want it? )
Thus, I have four that I wear on a regular basis plus a gym watch. Not sure what else I'd go for but, barring an unexpected change in financial circumstances, it would have to involve liquidating one or more of those four. That would be a hard sell for me.
Always have my eye on a vintage Rolex piece (either a Sub or a GMT of some variety), or maybe a more modern piece like a Sub-C or, if a windfall really came my way, a Daytona or Deepsea.

I have been giving this some thought and I will wait to see what is next for when Zack opens his safe or goes to the safety deposit box again.giosdad wrote:I am so in flux right now this thread and the regrets thread might push me over the edge.
He has been quiet on the SF so I figure either he is on vacation or lost the combo to his safe.

Re: What's next?
In the short-term I'm looking at the Tudor Heritage Chrono Blue, which will probably require a sacrifice on the part of my titanium AT 2000, but other than that I'm holding steady. Anything else is too damn expensive.

That's a tough call there. Didn't you sell a Ti AT once and really regret it? Just a friendly reminder, if that's the case. I distinctly recall you making a concerted effort to rebuy that one. I'm biased, of course, being a sucker for the dual crown ATs. ;-)

It's a 2892 with a chrono module from Dubois Depraz.marchone wrote:What movement are Tudor using in that chrono?craniotes wrote:In the short-term I'm looking at the Tudor Heritage Chrono Blue ...
In a perfect world I'd just throw down my card and get the Tudor without a second thought, however that ain't happening this time around. And while I do love the AT 2000, I find that I'm reaching for the Galapagos first, to say nothing of the FC Diver, NSA Incursion, etc... As for the Tudor, all I can say is that I'm in love and the price is right. ;-)Dixan wrote:That's a tough call there. Didn't you sell a Ti AT once and really regret it? Re: What's next?
I wonder why most people are thinking of getting watches that are more and more expensive...
There are thousands of watches out there, many under $500 and yet it seems that one tends to get the $x,000 watch. Is there no love for more affordable ones?
Or is it that in order to get the best one has to spend several thousands of dollars?
