My mom bought me a watch

Post by FlyPenFly » Tue Jul 09, 2013 9:02 pm

Sadly we can't all be born to a mother with season tickets to the Metropolitan Opera  . Instead she's a war refugee who put her four ungrateful kids through college by herself.

Thanks Mom.

I actually really like it.

And a money shot of the watch going up tomorrow.

Thanks guys, it's the Timex Weekender. That's the strap it comes on and the Indiglo, is honestly pretty damn useful, more than lume.

It's about 38 or 39mm and easy to wear for my dainty wrists.

Those Timex Weekenders are a good looking range of timepieces. Sometimes I wish I'd never discovered watch forums.

Yeah, they're pretty dope

I think I'm going to buy her one as well. Although she'd probably never wear it.

Sharp looking Weekender, Jae. What's the blue and red thing in the last picture? Regards to your mom.

The Weekender Zulu straps are available separately. They're pretty thick (twice as thick as usual Zulus) and a good deal for $7 on Amazon.

Very sweet of your mom.
Give her an extra hug, she'll like it more than a watch ;)

Great dial too!

Love it. A watch like that always has a place in the box.

Cool gift. I bet she was excited to gift it to you.

This proves that a NATO can look great with an orange stripe down the center so long as white is not on either side

Very cool, Jae. I have a bunch of sentimental watches from my wife and family or close friends. Those cheap watches mean more to me than any 10, 20, or 30k watch.

Gift watches are the best even if they do not fit the collection.
I have a seiko diver from an uncle who had it gifted to him.
I am also on a promise from my squeeze for a watch that is, she will seek my advice when it comes to buy as well, both are and will be keepers.
