Stowa Prodiver...Bracelet or Rubber?

Post by Axelay2003 » Sat Jul 06, 2013 6:12 pm

Can any members inform me if it is best to purchase a Prodiver with bracelet or rubber? I am looking for comfort and overall weight. Will the bracelet add considerable weight to the watch? Is the bracelet really comfortable?

I think this is going to be one of those personal preference "issues".

I would suggest the bracelet and an Isofrane.

Yep and fyi Stowa bracelet adds to the lug to lug length, don't know how much though.

Personally I don't like the bracelet and think the Isofrane looks perfect, so I would save the cost of the bracelet when buying new.

BTW, which dial color are you thinking about? I think one with the limette hands looks nice:

The pink one looks great on a strap made from the sack that used to contain your testicles.

I owned one on the bracelet and it was pretty heavy, even for me and I'm a large guy. I prefer Isofrane.

As mentioned elsewhere.....bracelet would be my choice. Was heavier but do not recall how much heavier but do not recall it being extreme. One sided screw in links and one of the nicer bracelets Ive seen on a watch at that price. Stowa rubber strap terrible so if you choose a strap go for Isofrane as others have mentioned.

How are these? I'm curious to try one someday, but they rarely come up for sale and I don't really want to wait 8+ months on a preorder for something I'm not sure I'll even like.

According to their site:

Lug-to-Lug size: 50.30 mm
Lug-to-Lug size inc. first metalstrap link on both sides: 58 mm

Damn, from 50.30mm to 58mm!? That is a huge jump.

Go with the bracelet! I think it is nice and solid. If you want a Stowa rubber later it will be much easier on you wallet than if you decide you want a bracelet down the road.

Hello Gary,

Could you verify the L2L on the bracelet. 58mm is quite a jump from 50.30mm.

Bracelet won't work on your wrist, Gerald.

I tried it on. Sucks if you don't want anything larger than PAM lug to lug. Very heavy as well.

I have the Seatime, and it's not a light watch, though I do like the bracelet, I think it balances out the weight quite well.

It's a Stowa, so you know they are solid. The black face allows bezel changes to mix up the look of the watch.
