The weather in NYC was hovering in the 60s F so I took the dog for a walk from my place in Hell's Kitchen to Greenwich Village.

We started here...
Image

At...
Image

A splash of cherry blossoms.
Image

But a lot more water tanks than cherry blossoms in the city. Old...
Image

... and new.
Image

After awhile these cabs were looking good.
Image

But in a distance is the High Line Park, an elevated park in the Meatpacking District.
Image

Image

Image

But no dogs allowed. Sorry, Mizu.
Image

We march on to the Meatpacking District. Looks closed on a Friday.
Image

But this joint is open.
Image
We keep going along the no so yellow brick road.
Image

Wonder what will happen to these.
Image

Image

Ironic, a fire alarm a few feet away.
Image

Now we're in the West Village. I really love the neighborhood.
Image

Really charming.
Image

Image

Image

Narrow sidewalks...
Image

...and brick roads.
Image

A different kind of park.
Image

One full of...
Image

Image

Outside were these beauties...

Image

Image

Image

An hour and fifteen minutes later...
Image

...we're at the Christopher Street subway station. No big dogs allowed so we continue on by foot, well, by feet.
Image

Image

A view of the Empire State Building.
Image

Mizu, I think the neighbors are trying to tell us something.
Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Hudson and Grove. It' about time to turnaround.
Image

Back at the Meatpacking District.
Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

A few block away from the New York Auto Show was this Porsche Cayenne.
Image

Nice shoes.
Image

The Auto Show at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.
Image

What's happening Mizu?
Image

Ah...
Image

Image

Almost 3 hours later, we're home.
Image

Thanks for coming along!

Great walking tour.
My son, who lives on 18th between 7th and 8th, works for the Parks Dept. He took us up on the Highline Park a while back. It was really nice, and it will eventually be three times the length.
Hey, and dogs get tired, too. :argue:
