Another re-acquisition - Tsunami

Post by giosdad » Mon Jan 21, 2013 7:26 am

This will be my third Tsunami (I think  ) But with the other two being PVD it has the impression of wearing larger on my wrist.

I like the Classic dial but prefer different hands than the classic hands from my first one. The MM300 hands change it up nicely.

Since the other two were PVD this is my first on bracelet and it wears very well on the XW bracelet. I have a Yobokies BOR coming in which I hope will be even more comfortable.

I missed having a Tsunami in the watch box. A good value for the money which combines 6309 style with a modern engine and increased WR under the hood.

A super sweet deal with Dave T as well. Great communication, fast shipping and extra items thrown in to sweeten the pot.

I've always thought I would p/u one of these, one day ... have to get of my butt and stop spending money on boots, I guess.

Congrats, Barry. Very nice looking timepiece.

Good stuff, Barry. I am actually really liking mine a lot more than I expected. It's excellent on mesh.

WJean. Super comfy. Matches up well with the bezel.

Plus, it has Chris's stamp of approval, so it's a winner. ;)

Looks great Barry and thank you too for a great transaction, it worked out well for all of us!

If you are looking for mesh I really liked how the Tungchoy flattened shark mesh worked on the Tsunami

But once you get the BOR I think you will forget about a mesh

Thanks again

Congrats Barry. Hopefully the third time is the charm.

Personally, I prefer it on the bracelet as opposed to the BOR.

Kick ass tool watch. I will try one somewhere along the line. Used to have a 6309 and such a great design. Personally, I love the original Seiko style hands. Love 'em or hate 'em for sure... and I've always thought they were cool.

That watch looks fantastic on oyster, mesh, or beads of rice. Each bracelet set up gives it a whole new look. :fro:

Congrats on a solid dive watch, no question.

Great looking version of a classically good watch!

The title of this thread - we should have a "Re-acquisition" forum, where you post all the watches you buy & then sell & buy & sell........

I was hoping I would get a response from you on that.

I like the flattened mesh as it reminds me of the Omega mesh which wore very comfortably.

Thanks all, hopefully the third time is a charm. I was tempted to buy another 6309 but this is the best of both worlds. I really like this movement.

Awesome how you have had a few of these now, and appreciate
them so much like this Barry. It looks great ! Plus the inside of
the watch is pretty outstanding also. Thinking this one will be one
you enjoy for a long time. Congrats on it !
