No pics for you Roar, but you've been talking about getting a 3717 for a looong time. I love it, for whatever that's worth. As you said, it's just a fantastic looking watch.

Love the shimmy inside and yes it looks great. I owned both the speedy and 3717 at the same time and they got along great - there is enough difference at least for me.

I think you should go the MM300 route personally.

Re: IWC 3717 anyone?
The 3717 is a good, honest watch with classic IWC pilot design cues, terrific legibility and a proven engine under the hood. As with most IWC Pilot's watches, it's also antimagnetic, secured against sudden pressure drops and water-resistant to 60M -- this is a watch that's meant to be worn. Yes, it's true that IWC no longer modifies the 7750 in house, however their changes are carried out by ETA and remain exclusive to IWC.
It also happens to take quite well to strap changes.
I say go for it.
Regards,
Adam

Solid watch Roar; I should have never sold mine...
I found in to sit flat on my wrist--comfortable watch...
Just a "classic pilot" watch

Re: IWC 3717 anyone?
It's one of my favorite watches ever but I don't think it's special enough to be a last watch.
Maybe a Laureus or a Doppel version of the 3717? Or even a Doppel 3706.

Re: IWC 3717 anyone?
It's a great watch. It is one of the most eye-pleasing and visually interesting watches out there. As Adam said, it takes strap changes well. Well-built and rugged, it can dress up pretty well too. The only reason I parted with mine was because I'm more of a diver than a pilot and found I always reached for my dive watch(es) over the 3717. Hence the trade for a Panerai.
Having said all this, next time I go for a chronograph, it's gonna be a Speedmaster Pro (again).
