That's the story of my life :bootyshake:
I am not sure what is in store for next year..or even the end of this year for that matter.
I do think a Black Bay, Damasko DA36 and Kobold Seal will get rented for a bit.
I am trying to figure out if I want to add something more substantial like a Rolex GMT 116710 or Explorer or put that money toward a second car/sportbike..time will tell.

What is a 177T? I don't think there were any 177s with T dials, they are all L dials.

I only see Chinitos with PAMs out here. My first thought is that they over paid. They just don't do anything for me. Surprising to see how many of you guys like them.

Why do you think they over paid? Very few brands hold their value like Panerai. Or is this some kind of imaginary horological value?

I just have that Chinese movement in mind. They look great but I don't like them. Just like some feel about Seiko.

I'm very happy with my absolute essentials only lineup, but these are the last few that will fill out my ideal collection:

• JLC Grande Reverso 976 (I'd have it already if it had a solid case back — I want to do an engraving. Plus, the display back takes away from the trad Reverso feel, IMO, but only slightly.)

• IWC Ingeniuer Auto 3227-01 or Portuguese Auto 7 Days (Depends on how heavy the 3227 is.)

• Vacheron Constantin Overseas (If I can get over it having the older version of a movement I already have.)

• Rolex Explorer II 42 mm (Do need/want a GMT/dual time watch, but my love for my new Exp I has, surprisingly, taken some of my desire for the Exp II away.)

Sentimental favorites that I will eventually pick up again:

• Omega SMP 2531.80 (redo x 3)

• Speedy Pro (redo x 6; love them, can't hold onto them for some reason)

Strangely enough I don't have the "i wants" at the moment. This time last year I said my 'big buy' of 2012 would be a Sinn U1. It was looking doubtful but I managed it in the end. Now I have nothing I want to flip,I love them all,so the watch fund is starting from scratch.
My big buy for 2013 would be a Sinn EZM3 as I've wanted one for years now but more realistically pricewise,it will be something yellow to replace the Tutima,so I'm looking at maybe a Helson Turtle in yellow. I also quite fancy the Helson Tortuga white/cream dial version.
Things like an IWC Aquatimer, vintage Omega SM300 and vintage Submariner are still in the dream locker.

With my newly acquired PO, I have decided that only a couple of nice daily wearers are needed for me. Perhaps a Tuna in 2013 to fill the MM300 hole and compliment my orange bezel Omega.

Well, with the crappy 1% Christmas bonus we just got and the possiblity of another year with NO raises  I'm hoping to find a better job or possibly win the lottery in 2013. In the case that either one of those things happen here's my high roller list.

Certina DS-3 1000
Doxa SUB750T Searambler
a real Kobold Seal :)

Lottery winning only watches;

PAM112
Rolex DSSD

If neither one of those things happen I'll probably just keep doing what I normally do, keep buying and selling sub 1K watches until a keeper crosses my path

Yeah on my list is:

New washer & dryer
New dishwasher
New stove

On the watch side, I maybe selling a few smaller pieces that are not getting much wear and try to enjoy what I have. :)

Im thinking about a Rolex pepsi GMT (possibly vintage) or a PAM 390.

Unfortunately, neither of these will happen unless I move the IWC 3227 which I'm loath to do.

I'd like to, but I'm going to wait until I see the prototype, confirm the finish dates and basically have everything nailed down. ;)

Haven't had a lot of interest over the past few weeks...weird, I know.

Been wearing the core three; Sub-C, X-33 and occasionally the Omega Seamaster. Going to try to keep it that way through 2013 although I'm sure my interest will pick up and I'll end up looking for another Rolex (GMT or SD), an IWC 3717 or maybe an 8500 powered Omega of some sort. Pretty happy where I'm at right now though.

I'm somewhere between no idea and possibly buy/sell at least one, if not two seikos.
Perhaps a skx009 or a MM300.

I'm happy with what I have and with what Santa will be dropping off for me.

So, yea since I posted yesterday afternoon about having built up a bit of a war chest I have bought two watches and put a dent in said war chest (still on the plus side after the recent sell off and four watches went out with only two coming back, but still I am like a sugar deprived kid in a candy store after a sell off). :banghead:
