Looking at your pics, what I become quickly aware of, is that my eyes are drawn away from your beautiful U1 and toward the strap itself. That expanse of red seems to have that visual effect.
Perhaps an alternative would be a black strap with red stitching; that would help bring out the gorgeous black dial, and make the red on the hands and bezel markers pop nicely...and still help to keep the eyes focused on the real prize. Just an alternate idea. The only thing that matters is that you're happy with it, and enjoy wearing it.
