Omega is very nice but you just can't top Rolex :shrug:BTW I just a had a few beers, 12 oysters on half shell and a couple vodka shots so I'm very fucking virile at the moment and still Rolex rules.... :jerk:

Dude, that Invicta is so freakin' sweet. It's man size unlike Rolex and Omega. It is also the same quality for a fraction of the price. The last time I wore my Invicta Goliathanormous into a Rolex AD, the salesman couldn't believe the quality vs the price I paid. He offered to buy it from me right there on the spot. Invicta FTW.

I have a photo on the board somewhere with an Omega mesh on the Explorer.

I guess that's kinda relevant for this thread......

Or how about this combo I just slapped together. At the very least, it's super comfy.

I still haven't read a case for buying a Submariner that would move me to drop 6K on one. Not a technical case, not an aesthetic one (they look bland to me), not even a convincing emotional one.

I feel a little left out at times when people are drooling over various iterations of the Sub...I just don't understand what I am getting for my 6K. Artistic achievement? No. Technical achievement? No. Exclusivity? No. Is it really just the iconic status thing in the end?

So everything you purchase is logically proven as correct by some mysterious absolute standard?

Sometimes, it just works for you. It may not be quantifiable. It might even be downright illogical. And sometimes, you just go for it because you feel like it.

But hey, at least you gave Paul what he was looking for.

Both are best but two dozen limited edition Invicta's are better.

No, not all my watch decisions are logical. And if that's your answer then it makes sense of why I don't get it, I guess.

I guess its the Everest of watches. Not the most technical or difficult climb, not the highest, and its certainly not the most exclusive of achievements these days. Its just that its Everest?

So the question is asked again and still no real response that makes sense to me. At least I helped Paul.
