UTS 1000m GMT Pacific Blue Horizon

Post by Dedalus » Fri May 18, 2012 9:56 pm

I know I'm not alone in drooling over the pics of the 2000m Pacific Blue every time Chris posts a pic of his.

Well, UTS have now added this to the line-up:

I think I prefer the simplicity of the 2000m without red GMT hand, but was curious to hear other opinions.

I didn't even know they made a blue GMT. The 1000 is a really nice size for every day wear and I am sure you will love it. Congrats.

Oh no... I didn't buy this, Chris. Just saw it up on the UTS website.

I do love the 1000m GMT, but think I prefer the red hand against the black dial. :fro:
If I were to plonk down the $$$ for a Pacific Blue I think I'd opt for the simplicity of the white hands on blue dial on the 2000m.
I believe you know the watch I'm talking about.

That be the one. :fro:

The UTS blue dial is undoubtedly cool, but I think it works best without the 'distraction' of the red GMT hand.

The color of the one Jared posted looks off. Stock photos never look right.

I love the UTS that Chris owns! The blue is almost as nice as a 16613 Rolex Sub before the weird color to match the ceramic bezel!

Completely agree, Jared - put the 2000M dial in to the 1000M case and then it would be a different story.

Love the blue dial and the red hand is a perfect match in my opinion. Would be my next UTS.......

The lug to lug is very wearable despite what the numbers might say. Does that make sense?

That color looks off, but the 1000m and 2000m have different dials. Stephen told me the 1000m blue is not galvinized, whereas the 2000m is. I just wish they'd make another dlc 1000m.

1000s can be picked up dirt cheap. Send it to IWW and have it coated for much less than a new one from UTS would cost.

Wow that dial is hot.

The UTS watches I've seen always give me the impression of a extremely well made German vault that you strap to your wrist.

His price is very high. That watch is 7 years old and has the old style bracelet, which is terrible.

Missed this the first time around. I like that Blue GMT a lot... maybe a white date wheel would look better, though.

I don't know why Spinner switched to the black date wheel. The older blue 2000s like mine have white wheels which look great.
