Anyone from Montreal Canada on here? I have been thinking about going to Canada to be able to browse the Tudor watches. I'm sick of this bullshit of Tudor not being available in the USA. If anyone has names and addresses of Brick and Mortar ADs in Montreal drop a message here.

Thanks.

We have several Canadian DWC members, not sure about Montreal though. Also did not know Tudor wasn't sold in the U.S.! Learn something everyday.

Not sold in the UK either...I am not sure if there is an authorized Tudor dealer in Montreal...I know there is one in Toronto--Rolex of Canada....

You could call or check out Gambard or Chateau D'Ivoire---info@chateaudivoire.com

Mike

edit....the two above carry Rolex...

There's a Rolex AD in Montreal, would they carry Tudors as well?

A quick google search will provide you this info:

http://www.tudorwatch.com/en/affiliates/

None of the US locations offer Tudor, of course.

Toronto is listed:

Rolex Canada Ltd

Rolex Building
50 St. Clair Avenue West
Toronto
Toronto and Greater Toronto Area M4V 3B7
Ontario
Canada

Seller canwatchco is based out of Montreal...if it has to be Montreal, you could probably set up a face-to-face meet to check out the watches he has...

Hi Tkite, yes, Chateau D'Ivoire is Tudor AD.
I just called them up and they say they have most of collection in stock but may not be on display.
They do have the Black Bay available, but no Pelagos yet.

http://www.chateaudivoire.com/index.cfm?l=en

Last time there, was busy looking at other brands.
I'll see if I can go check em out.

I wanted to see the two new dive watches, the Black Bay and the Pelagos... I want to handle them in person. I am trying to decide whether I want a new one or a vintage.

I really want a Pelagos, but if I told my wife I was going to Canada to buy a watch there would be blood shed.

As already mentioned Chateau D'Ivoire is an AD. They have an extensive collection and other nice pieces. I visited the AD a couple of years ago after the introduction of the Heritage Chrono at Basel. However, at the time, they did not yet take delivery of any and couldn't ship to the US. I went back again last year but decided not to pull the trigger... regret. :crybaby:

They don't have either of the new Tudors in stock I got hold of them yesterday. They have an order in with Basel, but it isn't even going to show til later this year! Ridiculous... I think if they release a watch for 2012, it should be available immediately.

Chateau D'Ivoire is a great shop, and is located on De La Montagne. Do ask for discounts if you are able to pay cash. A block west of the Chateau is Crescent Street, which has Matt Bailey, with a number of choices new and used. If you're close enough to Montreal, also consider Ottawa and the Jubilee Jewelers in the Rideau Centre in downtown Ottawa. They carry Tudor and an excellent salesman named Gil works there who will be able to sort out any questions you may have on the Tudor line.

As Montreal goes (much bigger and in my personal experience, much better city for retail purchases), walking up and down Crescent St between Sherbrooke and Rene Levesque will offer a view into a few decent ADs, if you want to pay the big bucks for Patek Phillipe and the like.

In any case, check hours before visiting, since The Montreal stores have odd hours and are closed Saturday and Sunday if I recall. Not sure about Jubilee in Ottawa, but I believe the hours there are more customer friendly.

Chateau d'Ivoire can be more flexible in terms of price "adjustments" than Jubilee. And the store is great, although I have had hit-or-miss experinces with teh quality of the staff there.

But, Gil at Jubilee is great and I know him personally and quite well, so can assist when / if you are at a point of deciding to buy. He does have some flexibility on price. And I can also assist on getting it to you sans (without) cross-border BS, if you want. The offer is open-ended to any and all DWCers heading up north, by the way.

Anyway, once you head up this way, let me know and maybe Chris, JeJe, Dave and I can meet in Montreal (or Ottawa) for a mini-GTG and AD crawl.

Regards,

James
