John Mayer joins HODINKEE
Re: John Mayer joins HODINKEE
That's cool. I believe he's on hiatus from his day job these days.

Sadly he is. I had tickets to his concert that was supposed to happen last week but he had to cancel his whole tour due to throat injury.dukerules wrote:That's cool. I believe he's on hiatus from his day job these days.

Man, when I saw this post I was thinking.... not THE John Mayer, is it? And damn if it isn't.
That is very cool, congrats on snagging a fine contributor. Very cool article by him, too. I love his thoughts on collectors and collecting, as well as his appreciation for a wide range of watches. .... From G's to $100's of g's.

Wish I had his watch fund I would have one nice watch collection.Like that military Rolex he has a lot.I wonder if his collection of vintage Rolex is bigger than Mike Woods collection ?
Re: John Mayer joins HODINKEE
Great clip. I have to see him in concert.

IIRC his collection is worth north of 5 million. That includes a Patek sky moon.

A pantheonic collection he's got for sure, but I like how he gets the hobby. It's not about the $$$, or if it is, it's because the watches are actually more interesting at that level. I bet his columns will actually be pretty informative.

That's cool as hell. And you guys get him to Red Bar - what's next?! A DWC membership?! Goddam, the rent here is already high.
You give respect, you'll get respect - you just don't know your place.
Re: John Mayer joins HODINKEE
Isn't there actually a vintage Rolex named after him?
