New bronze for 2012

Post by CGSshorty » Mon Dec 19, 2011 4:17 pm

Lum Tec is coming out with a new bronze model next year. No word on pricing yet. I like the brown dial very much.

Definitely good looking, although derivative. No date would be cool too. Are the hands small or is that just me?

Yes definitely a little derivitave, but I am ok with that as I am sure this will be reasonably priced compared to the most desirable bronze watches like the Panerai 382 or the Anonimos. That is just a computer rendering so I am sure the hands will be longer on the production piece. I agree that no date would be better.

Pam-style case fits the 656 style dial better than the original vanilla Sinn case I'd venture to say.

They have done a few unique things that IMO didn't work out so well. They are at their best when they are being unoriginal.

That doesn't even make sense Pat. I like your one word responses better, they are far more lucid.

I like this one a lot! I'll definitely get one if it's reasonably priced.

Interesting.

Good looks, & if the price is as good as Magrette's Regattare, it'll do well IMO.

@Suddha, I agree, bronze is so 2011. lol. I got sucked into the trend.
I still dig my Magrette until I decide to mod it. :stir:

I would imagine it will cost substantially more (at least double) than the Magrette.

I think that even at 2x the price of the Magrette, it would be a good pick up.

They usually get the hand length right, so I would chalk this up to a bad computer rendering.

I think it's the best looking micro bronze so far, but still nothing compared to an Ennebi or Panerai. If it's under a grand it may be a decent pick up for someone after a bronze watch.

OceanicTime had a sneak peek on another new bronze diver that is coming out. No word yet on what company it is. I'm not a bronze guy but I like what I see in the case & bezel.
