JLC Polaris...finally arrives
JLC Polaris...finally arrives
JLC Tribute to Polaris.
Been hunting a long time. Any watch named after a missle, submarine or other extreme vehicle is good in my book
Thanks to a friend at TZ, this became at the top of the list to acquire.
Whenever I say I am not buying anything today, it turns out the exact opposite. I need to keep my mouth shut.
These come around very rarely, and a brand new one never hurts. And when it comes around, you jump on it. No pounce on it.

I bought a cheap watch from a crazy man
Floating down canal
It doesn't use numbers or moving hands
It always just says now
Now you may be thinking that I was had
But this watch is never wrong
And If I have trouble the warranty said

THAT ... is tops on my list. It has been since I first saw it. Too bad about the price tag that comes with it.

Ain't nuthin' wrong with a Polaris '68 (I much prefer it to the '65). This is going to go great with your DSA European, Todd!

I will echo DMB. The BP FF was my long time Grail mainly because it was reachable in my mind used, but that is one I would probably sell the BP and others to get if I could ever get to the point of spending that much on one watch. Just perfect in every sense.

Re: JLC Polaris...finally arrives
Wowser!!! Great catch - I know it's hard to pull the trigger on something like that, but I'm sure it felt great strapping it on for the first time...

Milan's photos are of a prototype. The actual production pieces all have mismatched hands/dials.River Rat wrote:Some thing don't look right on the hands they look relumed with what most watchmakers use and don't try to match the original color that green lume green lume don't look right. Here is a link about the reissue if you look you can tell the difference.

Well, this is one of those pieces you could show to the "I don't get it. Why would anyone spend that much on a watch" guy. Probably not, but if someone can't see the sex in this thing they never will.
A solid home run.
