Right now, it looks like my PO is top on the flip list. I'm really digging the old Bond Chrono I got in a trade. It's pretty well worn but man this was the sleeper watch of the year for me. I got it intending to flip it ...
1) geez. I forgot about the Hamilton that keeps haunting me. It is a black dialed, rose gold 7750 chrono Jazzmaster. I'm relegated to iPhone access to the forum tonight, so I'm not going to go to the trouble of uploading a picture (btw, the definition of "dedication" surfing on an iPhone). Authentic Watches has a decent pic under the Jazzmaster section (~$1050 IIRC).

2) I've spent the week in a hospital (visiting my grandmother). Found myself needing some air tonight, and whadd'ya know??? No 3g phone service out here in the middle of nowheresville, but I found myself wearing a green crystal Millgauss for a few seconds. The other 2 watches I tried on were the white Exp-II and some variant on the Citizen Orca that I didn't quite recognize. Exp-II is one of the other ones that I can't forget (yet can't seem to seal the deal on).

3) RE: PO/Bond Chrono

My list keeps changing, but I guess that's bound to happen since I have no money to make any purchases. :scream:

SAS Diver, Ægir CD-2, and Doxa 1200T Pro are all looking good to me currently. That new G-Shock Heather got is also tempting me.

Yeah, right... :banghead:

1. Longines Legend Diver (I'm digging DJs loaner, but I'm not completely sold)
2. DOXA GMT (Carib or Divingstar)
3. Railmaster
4. U1
5. Something a little dressy (Hamilton maybe?)
6. Speedy Pro (it's just tough to find a good one that isn't overpriced)
7. maybe some type of cool chrono (Muhle Glashutte?)
8. Omega GMT (black dial)
9. Rolex (sub, gmt, or EXP II white)
10. Aquagraph

Thats some list you got there David.

Even though I have 3 DOXAs, I just can't commit to flipping one. Right now, it looks like my PO is top on the flip list. I'm really digging the old Bond Chrono I got in a trade. It's pretty well worn but man this was the sleeper watch of the year for me. I got it intending to flip it, but now I think it's a keeper.

Tune in next week when the list changes again.

Pretty happy with the collection as is. I don't own a GMT, so maybe I'll add one of those, but I don't have a specific one targeted yet.

Linde Werdelin has been on my wish list too long.
Soon a 3timer.

Omega Seamaster Gmt white dial, this year for sure to see if it sits and feels as nice as it looks.

As of right now I don't have anything on the list. I already got the main one that's been on the list for a couple months but got put on the back burner. That was my GW-7900B. I have the commitment I'm making to the DWP. There is always the possiblity of me getting something that strikes my interest here and there. I'm hoping to avoid that too much though, as my main point of interest right now is getting the hell out of Crapville and somewhere more normal-- like Montana. :bananastoner:

I sold my AT Railmaster and the vintage one is still in Bienne getting restored, but...
I just got this in the mail today.
Hopefully that means the watch is not too far behind.

I love the look of the modern Railmaster with Co-Axial movement and all.
I just wish they would have stuck to the original concept and gave it better anti-magnetic properties.

Really, what would it take? Make the dial a little thicker, get rid of the display back, add a faraday cage. All minor tweaks that would have resulted in a modern watch with a purpose unique from the rest of the AT line.

Less than 1 million people in the entire state. With it being the 4th largest, I'd say my chances of feeling like I am in paradise are pretty damn good!

I consider myself to be a modern day "Backcountry Borderlander" (an endearing term used for early North Carolinian settlers). I feel that I have to take up for NC here. Yes, the state is growing rapidly, the secret is out about how great NC is, so there are a ton of Yankees moving in - but NC is still a fantastic place to live. Mountains, beach, Piedmont. It's got it all.

Been shopping a little bit, and suddenly remembered two things:

1) My collection is already pretty awesome. :violin:
2) How stupidly expensive this crap is ... sigh.

Only one on the list for this year, Panerai 176. I am actually considering selling my seldom used motorcycle to pay for it. With my second child due in August I figure it may be the last one for a long time, so I may as well make it count.

That sounds like a very smart plan. Get your ducks in a row, and move fast. Your wife will be excited by the idea of dumping the death machine; should be easy to spin it in a favorable light.

You are right about that. She has already given the go ahead for the proceeds to be spent on a watch. The only thing she hates more than my watches is my motorcycle.

That is a fine plan. And the 176 would be the first PAM I'd choose as well.

My G-Shock list changes often but I want the GW7900. For a non-gshock I am mainly looking at non-bezel (with at least 100m wr) watches like the Sinn 856 or something from Ball or I may just get a Stowa Seatime.

For good measure, I also bought a black, low light, 5 ring for the Panerai.

Let's see if that holds me until Kenneth finally crumbles on the Searambler ...

Yup, I'm thinking the same thing! That's the only new item I am sniffing, but I'll take it used, as well as the following:

Also thinking about the DOXA 800Ti, so Paul...you listening??? I am here waiting for you to flip me that baby!

Or maybe a Searambler T-Graph.

Other than that, I might be hunting some used TAGs, but that's all I can think of for the coming year.
