The Itch (version 2010)
It has been many moons since my last major watch purchase. My trigger finger is getting a little itchy.
I'm still fascinated by the white faced Oris titanium TT. Orrr ..
-o- Oris Titan TT
-o- Alpha Panda Paul Newman
-o- Ball Mad Cow
-o- Omega PO
-o- Omega SMP
-o- Omega Railmaster
-o- JLC Reverso
-o- IWC AMG Ingenieur
Sooo, what's in your wallet (i.e. On "your" mind)???

Re: The Itch (version 2010)
Same here, i really miss my Titanium TT1 300M, and id like it back. Id prefer the Meistertaucher, but ill see what kind of moolah ive got after some pieces finally sell.
Im planning on making my biggest purchase in a month or two, a diver of some sort. Deciding between:
-Doxa (simple one with orange or blue face
-Tag Aquagraph
-Oris meistertaucher
-Omega SMP
-Omega white reduced speedy auto (not a diver i know, but i love this watch!
Matt is selling his Tusa for a perfect price IMO, just a month too early! need to raise funds first.

Re: The Itch (version 2010)
I think the Railmaster is one of the most under-rated watches out there.
You really need to see it in person to appreciate it.
Also, I find it wears a lot bigger than you would think. For example I think the 39mm Railmaster looks about the same on my wrist as the 42mm Speedy Pro.

There are two on my wish list.
Vintage (Omega Speedmaster) manual wind I will have do home work on what model.
Vintage (Eterna Kontiki diver) could of got a good one last week for 800.00 did not have the founds passed on it may be he will still have it at the next NAWCC show. But I liked the looks of it it was a civilian model.

Doxa...750 or a 1000 SharkHunter

Re: The Itch (version 2010)
This year, the itch is looking a little more expensive than last year's. I'm looking at hopefully one of the following this year, but ultimately I go wherever the tides carry me.
- Rolex Sub/Seadweller or birth-year DJ
- Kobold SOA (in 38mm or 41mm)
- JLC Reverso (if the right model pops up)

Re: The Itch (version 2010)
I am going to try very hard this year to resist the itch, through the use of ointments and creams...
The Ploprof should keep me happy for a long time and with the SMP as a lightweight versatile alternative, I will try to not do any flipping in '10.
I have a weakness for Doxas though and would love a Sharkhunter again at some point. If it gets to that point, I guess the SMP could be trade bait. But I really want to see if I can do it this year on two watches. Even the Aqualand is gone.

Re: The Itch (version 2010)
The only watches I want right now is a Sinn U1 and a white dialed EXP II. Doubt I will be getting either in the near future unless I sell/trade some of my current watches.

All my watches are divers at the moment, so I want something different.
Been thinking about the Rolex Turnograph in ss with the matt grey dial
And I really miss my Explorer, so...
And then there`s the Longines WWW
And this JLC is just sooo sweet

Re: The Itch (version 2010)
nice choices ken! If that JLC is similar in price of the rest, id go with that! Otherwise the Tournograph is super cool, although i dont like the fluted bezel.

Re: The Itch (version 2010)
I have been brushing up on my PAM-ish lately. So I don't know which model yet but it will be a Classic PAM design in the more "entry" level model if it happens.
If a few things go right my better half has condoned treating myself AGAIN this year with an substantial purchase, though I have to say I was a good last year and sold two and traded one for my Seadweller.
Other than that the Doxa itch remains for a 1200 Searambler or a 1000T sharkie. This place does not help lately.
An of course there are some exciting things coming up for Zixen, Halios, AEgir and Ocean7 has revived the LM-5. (An Stainless IWC AQ inspired internal bezel watch 42mm)

Ahhhh, that explains it. I wondered why you never wore the Explorer. I didn't realize you had let it go.
Yep, that JLC Master UltraThin came w/i a RCH of making my list also. I keep going back and forth with it. In the meantime, I strap this on once in a while:

Re: The Itch (version 2010)
My list changes a lot, which tells me I need to hold off until I'm sure. The "regulars" are still there though ...
1. Longines Legend Diver (I'm digging DJs loaner, but I'm not completely sold)
2. DOXA GMT (Carib or Divingstar)
3. Railmaster
4. U1
5. Something a little dressy (Hamilton maybe?)
6. Speedy Pro (it's just tough to find a good one that isn't overpriced)
7. maybe some type of cool chrono (Muhle Glashutte?)
8. Omega GMT (black dial)
9. Rolex (sub, gmt, or EXP II white)
10. Aquagraph
Even though I have 3 DOXAs, I just can't commit to flipping one. Right now, it looks like my PO is top on the flip list. I'm really digging the old Bond Chrono I got in a trade. It's pretty well worn but man this was the sleeper watch of the year for me. I got it intending to flip it, but now I think it's a keeper.
Tune in next week when the list changes again.
