So, how come no one got one of these on DWC

Post by Panerai7 » Sun Nov 02, 2014 12:17 pm

Just stumbled on this SARG015 while searching for Chris's orange shogun.
Kinda vintage vibe, less than 400$, 42mm and 12.5 thin, 6R15 engine, domed sapphire
Seems like someone should already have one on a grey nato around here by now?
They make a black dial/bezel version too.

Looks cool. I can't keep up with Seiko's 10,000,000 strangely named watches.

Art: This is the first one I've seen. Looks cool, good size, solid motor. Step up and do it man, start a new trend :)

Someone will rent it after you're done with it

This is a beautiful Seiko. Reminds me of the recent Rado diver.
I'd rock it

The way only thing bothers me is non-screwdown crown.

What's the WR on it Art? Do you have a link to the spec sheet?

I have a Seiko Kinetic that's 100m with a non-screw down crown and I do everything but scuba dive with it.

Me too-I remember getting a Zenith El Primero chrono not knowing it wasn't a screw down crown and it bothered the crap out of me-resulting in a quick flip.

That's a good looking watch. Lug size?

Since Art didn't deliver on the link
http://www.seiyajapan.com/products/seik ... ic-sarg015

I broke down and used the googles.

No news on strap widths, but the bezel is fixed. WR is 100m, so non-screw down on a non-diver really doesn't seem like an issue :)

Chris, for a dressy watch, 20mm seems appropriate. Thought it's getting close to 'too damn small' for a 42mm watch :)

42mm cases should always have 22mm lugs IMO.

It might be okay on a 20mm although of course 22 would be ideal.
Isn't it always like that with Seiko? They do something great, even put a sapphire on it and oops forgot to screw down the crown.

Definitely has that "midnight blue" vibe of Tudor BBB going. Hmm...

No forgetting or an issue. Not meant to be dive watch And it'll be just fine for daily use anyways.

I kinda like it, but for some reason don't find myself wanting it. Looks like a watch that is having a mild identity crisis.
