Explorer project final version, stainless case about 40mm, drilled through lugs, bracelet, Namoki dial, Mercedes hands, NH 35 movement, sapphire crystal. I opted for all white hands to make it more readable and less blingy. C3 lume is strong and long lasting.

Very interesting build Carlo! You gonna wear that or sell it. I think a 39/40mm explorer is just about as good as it gets, especially if the bracelet rocks.

Thank you and I am trying to make things for me to keep and wear. This one is definitely not perfect but it is as good an explorer as I like. The bracelet has solid end links and it is great although I would prefer it was 20mm all the way instead of tapered...

This is a project that has been in the making for a long time. Mostly I had a hard time finding a case that I could use for a certain different look that I was hoping to achieve. I ended up finding an Islander watch which is kind of a homage to the Seiko Samurai. I had the movement and hands and dial which are all Seiko. I then bought a smooth pilot bezel and bracelet and assembled everything.

Here is how it came out.
