Just caught a look at the TAG HEUER Carrera Chronograoh Glassbox “Panda”.
Maybe you did too.
This one has 39mm case, silver sun-ray dial, in house calibre TH20-00

Lovely Zenith!
I’d love to take advantage of some of the smaller offerings; however, my wrist fluctuates between 8.25 and 8.5 inches. Anything less than 40mm sorta screams “fat guy in a little coat…”

Pretty compelling size and design. Not that much less $$ than the Speedy Pro though, but might wear a tad smaller.AtomicTom wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2024 11:04 amJust caught a look at the TAG HEUER Carrera Chronograoh Glassbox “Panda”.

Re: Watches & Wonders 2024
The Duo line is above me, their Heliotourbillon is a wonder. The dual-wing mechanism is amazing, that's a watch I'd pay to see.

So nice, so refined. Too refined for me, this P Chrono is where I see the goal, for me.
The Alpina's very sporty, I like a lot of the design but I might fall out on the proportions and symmetry in the dial. I love to see the textured dial in hand. The case suits me well.Wario406 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2024 6:52 amThis is pretty hot.

Their Ext Diver's a supersport! Reviving the Defy is done right, and their Tourbillon, wow, better than the skeleton...incredible.
Arnold & Son landed this one, form and function, it's outstanding.spring-diver wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2024 9:10 amArnold & Son nailed this one

De Besthune's Revolution is sick, a masterpiece..
.
.
After such marvels, Tudor seems dull, monochro-meh...nonetheless, back to a not so simple 2 liner. I like the Extreme Diver best, but the BB is excellent, not boring, and practically fit for optimal wear.

Seiko does dials! Their new Grand lineup has another start in dial finish tech, in the TL LE. It's always another LE with them. They've turned the texture of the new White Birch, and from metallic to a whiter dial, pushing a dressier vibe. A hand cranker! Yes, thank you, Seiko. If it was Derick's version with this mvmt, that would be a seller to me or a snowflake. Love the mvmnt, prefer the sportier previous looks.
Seiko's new spring dive Tokyo Lion's dial is unique, in hand I can imagine how different it is. I'm curious to see where this dial paint tech leads, it's beautiful. The Tokyo Lion case is sharp, hard, and interesting, I like it. LE mvmnt.
Worth checking out is the Kodo Daybreak, another touring wonder. I'd be remiss if I didn't show it. Exquisite work.

Not bad right guys?!
It’s just super easy on the eyes design wise, and the classic design actually
is refreshing and new to a lot of people too I am sure. From the look, to the
size it is pretty great. With maybe the only thing that could have made it
cooler would have been if they used the old Heuer logo.
Thanks so much to you guys for giving your thoughts on this one !!!
Re: Watches & Wonders 2024
I always thought the birch dials should be oriented in that horizontal way VS the way they initially did it. But I also agree that I like the overall texture and look of my white birch to these new ones!AranaWhite wrote: ↑Thu Apr 11, 2024 8:49 amSeiko does dials! It will be interesting to see how the hand cranker 9SA4 performs. I have a feeling they've resolved some of the "speed racer" tendencies of the 9SA5 with this one, but maybe not.
I do realize after looking at how much of the case my 9SA5 takes up on the white birch that there's no way the 9SA5 will fit in a case smaller than 40mm, so maybe that was the only real driver to create the 9SA4.

Re: Watches & Wonders 2024
The brand on the dial could be Timex or any field watch brand. Nothing really sets it apart.

Often times field watches can be very reserved, or plain looking overall.
But Bremont does seem to have tried to kick things up boldness wise here.
In a way, it’s like they took every detail and enhanced it to make things
grab you. But I know some times less is more and these may be trying to
do too much.
It’s cool to at least talk about, so thanks a ton as always !!!
Re: Watches & Wonders 2024
I love the new Tudor BB41 Monochrome! I hope they release a Pelagos very similar to the FXD but with bracelet and I also wish they revamped the royal. I like the size of the BB58 GMT but don’t like gilt so I’m sticking with my chunky BB GMT “Diet Pepsi”.
If Rolex had released Coke I would have gotten on the list.

Re: Watches & Wonders 2024
Now that I've had some time to look back over this, a few thoughts.
Bremont, not much likable about the new release, and did anyone bother to look up the Terra Nova expedition's fate? Oates: "I am just going outside and may be some time." Scott: "Per my trusty Bremont, it's 4:37 PM, try to be back for dinner, Oh wait."
I'd love to see the BB58 or the BB GMT get the monochrome treatment.

If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.
