2021 Citizen Promaster Automatic

Post by martyloveswatches » Thu May 13, 2021 11:05 pm

Well, after Signature line diver, finally Citizen included sth new (automatic) in diver line-up; ref. NB6004-08E and NB6004-83E (on rubber and bracelet).

So, duratec titanium all over, sapphire, new Miyota automatic cal. 9051 (antimagnetic), 46mm. Bezel reminds me on 800m diver from the 90's. I like the design, overall appearance, for me the only negative thing is the bezel insert is not useful (not readable which is a must on a diver imo) and if I am to be picky (and I am) that horn endlink is sth that I hate because it extends the L2L...

But overall, the case line and specs. are top, compared to Seiko Shogun this is almost twice cheaper ImageImageImage. Definetely would wear this 46mm beast. It has that X factor

Go Citizen, looking forward to new offers from you Image

Also, new aqualand's as a tribute to iconic 1300m (but only 200m ?!) and new aqualands depthmeters...

Few photos, still no reviews on these boysImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Looks like a very capable diver, but I need more wrist presence. This one is a little bland.

New watches. Still no reviews and live photos. NB6005 and NB6006 also to come...this dark grey titanium with dark green and gold also seems very very interestingImageImage

Endlinks have the wrong curvature?
The bezel insert kind of ruins it. Looks good under lighting but without the bright photography light it becomes shadow and boring.
I like the dial though.

I’d sport those all day long when boating, diving or walking around third world countries (as a weapon lol)

Good stuff!

Holy cow, didn't even know about this Martin, so thanks a lot for the news,
and a HUGE congratulations as well to you !!! :salute: The style of these is
fantastic really, and definitely takes you back with it's all around style, as
well as dial.  Wow, check that out honestly. So so cool, and what's
nice too, is the watch pays tribute without really redoing the original look,
but rather plays off of it, and modernizes it. Which is a nice twist, and very
refreshing.

Honestly seems like these watches are so well thought out. With all of the
negatives seeming pretty small. Even the bezel seems like a real highlight
with the way it mirrors the dial pattern. Hope you can enjoy the heck out
of this ! ..A BIG congrats once more !!!

Well, still only the black dial is available, other two (green is my fav.) with dark titanium cases are for preorder from Japan (for now). What I find interesting is a nice tribute to 800m Citizen titanium diver (I had that watch and sold it Image ), overall nice package with all specs. and new mvt., striking angular design (tipically Japanese - I am a fan) and the price point. This thing is almost twice cheaper compared to new Shogun...

Obviously, it is not a true diver, but for a casual watch, I am in

Photo of my ex. 800m diver (1992. production) so you can see the similarities (bezel). This is 48mm but bezel is narrower (42) so with short lugs this was quite wearable (like a tuna).

It does have a vibe like the 300M/800M/1300M series. But I really like the fact that its a 28,800 auto, not quartz. I'd consider buying one.

Could be a winner, but the bezel ruins it IMO.

When you look at the fact that this is not going to be a true diver (maybe for swimming and snorkeling) watch but a casual beater, I dont mind the bezel and it does looks interesting with darth machined numbers

Don't care for the lack of a better word, hobnail pattern in the bezel.

Of the three, I’d most likely like to try the Ti version

This looks like the elusive titanium ashtray tuna that I’ve been trying to track down for over 5 years. Would totally wear this citizen though.
