bremont graffino

Post by jtbenson » Sat Nov 21, 2020 3:08 pm

I admit that I have a love/hate relationship with Bremont.
Loved my terra nova, loved my mbii, loved their customer service, hate that--to me--they feel a bit overpriced, and have brutal resale return.
Some of them are just really great pure designs, and they wear incredibly well. I'm sure I'll own another some day, used and at the right price.
Don't care so much about the "in-house" debacle with the wright flyer (and I'm an NC native), nor the flurry of fakes on ebay.
I totally missed this release, but have to say there's something about this alt1c variant that makes me tingly.
Anyone have any firsthand experience with this one? I'm curious to know if it's just the photographs or if the watch presents this well in person.
Cheers and good weekend dwc!

That is a cool one. Never saw it.

I do love the Bremont Hawking LE that just came out. I have been thinking bad thoughts on that.
“To absent friends, lost loves, old gods, and the season of mists; and may each and every one of us always give the devil his due.”
― Neil Gaiman, The Sandman

I bought a cheap watch from a crazy man
Floating down canal
It doesn't use numbers or moving hands
It always just says now
Now you may be thinking that I was had
But this watch is never wrong
And If I have trouble the warranty said
Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On

It looks great in that photo. I'm a sucker for vintage lume on a vintage-inspired pilot watch.

As you said, the'y've always felt overpriced to me and, despite their reputation for good customer service, seem to have more than their fair share of quality issues.

Despite this watch's good looks, I'll probably continue to admire it from afar.

Love that watch. And in general I really like Bremonts.
I just can’t get away from my feeling they should cost 33% less than they do.

I've been destroyed on resale for all the Bremonts I've owned. For me, they always look better in pics then on the wrist. That said, if I can find a good price on a MBII, I'll play again sometime.

sounds like we are all in agreement.
i do think the case construction/finishing warrants the $ point---at used prices. and they are, for the most part across the range, very handsome.

Yup, definitely overpriced at retail. I purchased only two Bremont watches BRAND NEW and never at retail. I finally unloaded the 247 after relisting it a couple of days ago. It sold within an hour of listing. I actually made money on it believe or not. There are people out there that are willing to spend the money. It was just the right timing although it took a while with my 247. I purchased my MBIII 10th anniversary way below retail and I was comfortable paying that. I do love their designs and the quality is surely there.

This.

Loved the MBII orange but it was a total lemon. I’d love to give it another chance

Really like that release and most of Bremont's watches.....just really don't like Bremont pricing.

Don't have first hand experience Jason, but see why you like this one so much,
and the brand in general.  Am betting these actually look even better
in person to tell the truth. It just has this attitude about it, even though it's also
classic looking. So cool ! 8-) 8-)

Thanks very much just for the look !!!
