Post by AtomicTom » Fri Nov 08, 2019 11:11 am

Not sure if everyone has had a chance to see these news Doxa
watches. Or actually all of the new dial options.

There is the new Doxa Sub 300T, and then 1500T with 425mm stainless
steel cases, 1200m, and 1500m water resistance, scratch resistant
AR coated sapphire crystals, Helium Release Valves, unidirectional
rotating bezels with integrated no-decompression dive-time calculators,
dial colors in Professional orange, Sharkhunter black, Searambler silver,
Divingstar yellow, and Aquamarine turquoise Caribbean blue. All with
Super-Luminova coated hands, and markers, stainless steel bracelets,
and either ETA 2824-2, or 2892-2 also.

I really hate that 42mm version. It's like they stole a mid case from a fake Omega.

A bit misleading too, as some show screw lugs and some don’t.

Looks like the 1500T has the screw lugs. Probably has the 2892-2 movement as well.

When I looked on the website I could swear those 1500’s didn’t have screws.

Really don’t like the orange on the crowns of the non Professionals. Especially on the yellow. Looks like crap.

It really does. I love that yellow one other than that, though.

I really like the black dial 1500. I wonder how thick it is? But why is there no lumed 12:00 pip on the bezels??? This is supposed to be a dive watch.

Good eye.

If they had to do a color should be black.

Always wanted an Orange Doxa but other purchases always seem to take precedent.

Don't care for the orange crown logo either. As for the mid-case on the 42mm model - Omega derivative yes, but true to the original Shark-Hunter 300. Used by Eberhard as well.

At least based on a historical model. Even so, it looks like a po2500 mod watch.

Orange on the crown might bother me...but I bet it’s barely noticeable in the metal.

Win on no hev and flat crystal. Lose on end links sticking out so far from case and fish crown.

It’s amazing how consistently the newer models seem to be worse than the prior ones lately.
Mostly by adding things that make no sense or modifications no one asked for.
The orange fish on the crown being a great example

Not my picture but this blue looks really good, if it was a $450 watch.

That clasp has looked too big for every watch it has ever been used on.

I've had several Doxas years ago... First one was a Caribbean GMT, a few orange dials such as a 300T Aqualung and 1200T Seahunter, and a 5000T Sharkhunter. I agree the 42mm would not be something I would be interested in. If I could find a Caribbean or Seahunter, I would be a very happy camper.

This pic does get me interested...

Is it really that shade of light blue?

Looks better than the stock pic, but which is correct?
