Re: Hobby or "worse than crack"?
By the way, if you think you've got it bad.... The guy who's buying my Sub is going to be FedEx'ing me CASH. Literally, cash. He's in the middle of building a collection of every Sub ever made (he's already purchased a 168000, 5513, and my 16800 just in the last couple weeks to go along with his 14...

Re: You gotta love TRF...
The kid is 17 and already has 4 Rolex watches....I would have asked for a Daytona based on what he has...But you're definitely right.... Mike His aunt insisted on all-gold models. We're talking $25k+ watches! All he had to do was wash her car for a year. Maybe that's code for something................

Rolex owners get a reputation because of posts like these, among others: http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=95709 Another good example of the generosity and exquisite taste of Rolex owners. Most would reward a year's hard work dedicated to cleaning cars with something trivial and innapropr...

Oh, I made use of that. Can't stand anything really tight on my wrists... don't even like sweat bands playing tennis. It's not so loose that any of them turn over, but just loose enough to move some. Nothing is scratched badly, not even the scratch magnet polished SS Breitling bracelet. ...

Re: GMT-MasterIIC
Good stuff, Tim. GMTIIc is a definite looker, and has a number of great improvements over the old sport-model lineup. I was really strongly considering one for awhile, and still have it on my list. The platinum numerals in the ceramic bezel are really, really nice. I guess you don't make use of the ...

Just remember, if you start to get a rash...that is real trouble :gayumbrella: It definitely is an addiction -- as someone said "trying to find that one". Stowa makes some gorgeous watches!! My problem is I always fall in love with watches in the pictures and am often underwhelmed when I get to see them in the flesh. :raised: This is definitely not the case with Stowa, at least in my experience (and from what I've read). I don't know anyone that was ...

Re: Hobby or "worse than crack"?
I've got my addiction under control lately. When my wife lost her job, I sold off the Ploprof and settled on my birthday ND Sub as the one I'd live with for a while. So far so good. But I know that, like with any addiction, relapses can hit hard and swiftly and I fear that soon I'll be shelling out...
