Re: Scarred leather strap
I think it looks great. But then again, a strap made out of toilet paper would look great on that watch.

If RGM is including that for $500 then you're getting one hell of a dealmattcantwin wrote:As soon as the diamond case back is installed.logan2z wrote: When is it coming back from repair?

Big ol' tool watch - Bulova Marine Star
Love it, very Heuer Bund like. Hand set, font, subdials, pushers, all very similar.

Re: VDB
That doesn't bug me too much, my 45mm PAM 190 has the same lug width and it seems fine to me. It's the other dimensions of the VDB that might be more problematic, like the L2L. They do have some cool pieces, though, I just wish they were sized for normal humans.mattcantwin wrote:26mm lug width.

Re: 6 Way Diver Comparison: Bremont, GS, Nomos, Muhle, CFB
Nice comparison, thanks for posting. One nice feature of the Muhle rubber strap that wasn't mentioned is that it's fitted to the case but cleverly hinged so that it hugs the wrist well and doesn't leave gaps.
Which of the 6 would you say is the best value?

Thanks Jeff, may have to pick up one of those. FYI, I see the Bergeon tool is 'on sale' at ofrei.com for $149.

I couldn't wear it either. I loved the 2000M but it was too thick for me at 16.5mm. Hoping to try a 1000M V2 at some point.jswing wrote:That's sweet looking. I couldn't wear it, but it looks nice.

UTS 4000M in Pacific Blue Horizon
I seem to be getting a lot of watch-related email today. Just got something from UTS announcing a limited number of 4000M and 4000M GMT with Pacific Blue Horizon dials. If you can pull off the 17.5mm height, this looks like a very cool watch. http://www.utswatches.com/4000m-dive-watch/ http://i.imgu...

Tough call, they're both fantastic. I love bicompax chronos but if forced to choose I'd probably keep the three hander.

The technology has been around since the '20s but not used in wristwatches until the '60s I believe.CesarG wrote:Quartz in the 20's.

Another vote for the black bezel but the crimson works well too. Beautiful watch!
