Re: Buying without warranty card?

Warranty card or papers, or Rolex Service Center (RSC) paperwork carries the serial number of the watch case (service papers will often indicate the movement serial number, too) which helps confirm the authenticity of the $5k+ purchase you just made... :ugeek: Empty boxes and booklets can be found m...

Re: Good price? Seller? SubC question

Never dealt with the seller, but the price is just a tunc hair over what I paid 2+ years ago for my pre-owned Sub C (G serial). You may be able to negotiate it down, in which case it would be a very good price, brother.

The picture shows a redial GMT w/the white gold surrounds...At least you would get a watch you could read in the dark. :-) The web, Two different variants of the dial: Matt, without white gold indexes - rare. Glossy, with white gold indexes (identical to the newer GMTs). Rolex switched the dial dur...

I'm sure we all "would like to avoid the possible affect of the ink poising your skin."
Interesting marketing, though.

Re: Thinking of grabbing this one.. Thoughts?

Then definitely hold out for the SD. As for low post count, I've been a member at other watch forums as long as here, but doubt that I have 20 posts combined between all of them. Why bother, when there's DWC??? :fro: :fro:

Re: Thinking of grabbing this one.. Thoughts?

Pretty damn good deal, if the seller is legit. Watch looks in great condition, hardly polished, if at all. Still, ask all questions before buying...

Re: Beat to sh!t Sub

I got my first Sub in 1995 and wore it daily...showers, sleep, etc. I even worked on my 87 Mustang GT with it on (until I realized my wrist was too thick to get to the park plugs or header bolts, and then took it off). The crystal got two chips on the edges and the non-crown side got a deeper scratc...

Re: Belts

I really like the look of the sample belt Joe...The leather looks very supple.

On the other hand, you would probably sell more of them to this crowd as long as they could support a gun holster without sagging or rolling... ;)

Great work!

Re: Brushing the center link- is this crazy?

I picked up a generic oyster bracelet on the auction site...PCLs had to go. Green scrub sponge-thingie and 45 seconds per bracelet end and I had a perfectly serviceable non-shiny bracelet.

The edges on most bracelets are shiny and not affected by this method.

YMMV
