Wonderfully written, Zach; and exceptional pictures, too.
Certainly something to be proud of; thanks for sharing.
Thanks Matt!

Re: Lockdown Survival - what are you doing?

Shameless self-promotion, but I wrote a story about my time in lockdown and how I only wore one watch the whole time. Shame it wasn't a diver... Maybe for the next quarantine? ;) https://www.ablogtowatch.com/one-watch-quarantine-pandemic-jaeger-lecoultre-geophysic/ https://www.ablogtowatch.com/wp-co...

I used to have a Transocean Spring Drive GMT, and it remains one of my favorite divers I've ever owned. Definitely wish I still had it. The Tranny is easily one of Seiko's coolest divers to date.

Perfect strap for that watch - even the bevels kinda match!

It's the year two thousand and twenty. Is a ceramic bezel insert really the kind of thing that gets people excited anymore?

Dig the original design, but I'd really like to see this one with a black or tonal alloy bezel insert that matches the dial.

Nail, meet coffin. Baselworld organizers have been nothing but absolute dicks to their clients throughout all this. The team behind W&W runs a good show, so fingers crossed for next year.

Do people even buy these watches anymore? This brand has been releasing new stuff at a breathtaking clip for the last 18 months, but you literally never see them on the FS forums, or on owner wrists on IG.

Re: Ever Been Conflicted About a Watch?

I've more or less stopped wearing my two-line Pelagos, because I kinda feel like Tudor's more or less totally lost the plot, and everyone that wears them still thinks they're part of some secret club. Guess I'm in that "your favorite band sucks" phase, but I'm too lazy to sell it. Hahaha sell it to...

Re: Omega Creamsicle PLANET OCEAN 600M

This one ain't new. Really wish they'd done it with a black or grey bezel and with tonal numerals on the dial, like that white-dialed PO mod that floated around here a few years back. I know it got traded around a bit – last I heard I think Greg had it? Still my favorite Omega mod of all time.

Cop from WatchObsession in the UK. Save a little bit on the exchange rate, and if you leave a review they'll give you a 10% off code.

Oh, and get the real thing. I've handled all the "ladder" style straps, and ISO's formula is the best. You get what you pay for, for sure.

I'd like to welcome the rest of the state of California to the shelter-at-home mandate. Been at it since Sunday. It's honestly not all that bad. I shot it last fall, it’s extremely good. Pretty thick though, but like many of Seiko’s bigger watches, it wears really really comfortably. The case is super well-designed.
