If I were a second term President I would take off my Shinola or Timex, throw it into the crowd during inauguration, strap on my Patek and yell, "Suckers!"
As I recall this is what Clinton did toward the end of his second term once he got watch fever.

Re: This Speedmaster CK2998 kind of cool
PS - As for the CK2998 itself, I've handled it several times in person, and was even offered one by the Fith Avenue Omega boutique, but it does absolutely nothing for me. Damn, Adam... You should have scooped it up anyway and paid it forward to keep it in the community. Made a few bucks in the proc...

Re: This Speedmaster CK2998 kind of cool
I know the Snoopy was/is hard to get and prices are inflated, but can someone school me on the actual fiasco? It was my understanding that Omega ADs and Boutiques sold the 1970ea Silver Snoopy's to whomever had a checkbook and a pulse. They sold out damn near instantly before a lot of people even k...

Re: This Speedmaster CK2998 kind of cool
I like it except the ball on the second hand that to me looks very out of place. The lollipop is one of my favorite parts plus is pays homage to some of the originals which had it. I'm a total sucker for lollipop hands. I tried getting in line for this one at a couple places and was given some line...

Re: New Prospex divers to be released in 2016...
Now, if this were a dark blue with the original silver hands/markers...I would be one of the first in line. Second in line  God that would be so hot. 3rd in line no question about it. If they had to insist on a fun color they could have made an orange dial version with black font and origina...

Re: New Prospex divers to be released in 2016...
Seems a disgruntled Seiko employee cranked out 200 of those turds as his last taunt before getting escorted off property. Seiko will show him by selling them for a premium. See, if that were actually true I wouldn't be so upset at the color choice. It seems this LE truly was intended for a crowd (i...

Re: John Mayer talks the Big Pilot on Hodinkee
The only thing I find entertaining with Mayer interviews are his elitist overtones and him acting as if he has zero contempt for the small guy. Him not trying to be an asshole comes off so strong he ends up doing the exact opposite.

The bezel reminds me of that recent mustard colored one installed on a seller's otherwise nice 6159 he was asking a small fortune for.

Re: one watch
I'm on the other side of the fence here. The idea of all my watches is versatility/function so how do you get all that with one watch? For one watch I'd go X33 Skywalker because I don't dive and don't need a watch at the beach or pool. If I did frequent water then Aeropsace Evo would be the true win...

Nope to all them.
Maybe to the new moonphase if it were smaller.

Love Airshows. Go to at least one every year Not to nitpick but that's the F22 in those shots... I don't think the money-pit F35 is operational or ever will be. They look a lot alike, though... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lockheed_Martin_F-35_Lightning_II Program cost through 2070 $1.5 trillion :s...

The 16710. It's a wafch I no longer own and prices to get a good one back are ridiculous now. I don't think I can ever own just one but I'm trying to do this with a few. So far my X33 gen2 hasn't left my wrist since I got it last week. Strange how tastes change... My 3570.50 will never leave the sta...

And my guess is there's good reason to believe the other is real. This always happens! Seiko leaks a shitty pic, WUS Photoshop experts (aka everyone) get their panties in a wad, and we end up seeing the watch. Happened with the naft and others throughout the years

Re: Which is the better "all-in" watch?
Love the YM but I'm not sure it's an "all-in" kinda watch... Certainly a watch for a three watch collection.
An all in watch would be a SS AP or maybe the WG Sub.
