Re: Seiko 6105
So, I’m trying to learn the design language that I should be looking for to appreciate these? I got to try on some of Gregs turtles last weekend (thanks brother!!!) and am very interested in the words you guys can put around these to help me understand the passion? They’re nice (to my novice eyes),...

Re: 2/14/24 Spring Novelties
Someone on Reddit visited Sinn germany to check out the new offers. He said you can buy the clasp separate there. It’s either a supply issue and Sinn made the decision that you have to buy a whole bracelet from Watchbuys or it’s a Watchbuys decision to not offer it. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/...

Re: 2/14/24 Spring Novelties
Just heard a rumor from a German Sinn collector that Sinn is indeed going to have an adjustable clasp coming out. Said he heard it from his local dealer … “adjustable without tools”. May not be worth anything but thought I’d share. Rumor is true….. Actually like the Spring offerings: The 103 Chrono...

2/14/24 Spring Novelties
Love the lume dial U50. As much as I want to love the U50 Hydro something just seems a little off. The original UX looks perfect and has a more aggressive feel. Something is lacking from the new 50 hydro.. I think maybe the smaller indices? I’d like to see it in person. And really… you’d think the n...

Re: 2/14/24 Spring Novelties
Unfortunately, it looks like the same small handset as on the T50 models. Bingo! Same hour markers as well , the minute markers are a hair longer on the T50 https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240209/fa5426eb5a558accf9fd6a57914c78f4.png https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240209/bdead213cca89fba2db86...

Re: 2/14/24 Spring Novelties
Is the lume dial date or no date Based on how the markers look, I’m guessing no date. A date would ruin it. No date. The 3:00 marker is the same size as 9:00. If I didn’t have The U50Pro I would be in on this U50 Lume dial. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240211/d1ee7dc0bba7f64e95ee0e69d9cdcb84....

Yes you’re right, looks very much like his early day Seiko mods. I had a 6105 with a dial like that.kempoman wrote:Reminds me the early days of Bill Yao modded Seiko SKX with type ii dial. I like that one better.

Don’t mean to be morbid….but do we know how he passed? It’s just that he was so fit…it’s hard to accept…. They did not release cause of death. Only said he died in his sleep. Predator and happy Gilmore.. great actor. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240208/6738d37e0be085b2e1a6338c35e404c9.jpg

Re: Need help on Tritium PIP/DOT
Those pip inserts are super specific to size. Nobody except for the supplier is going to have those… I know some flashlight mod sites sell trit in small tubes to put in custom flashlights but nothing would fit in that tiny pip hole. Best suggestion I read above is to contact the watch company for re...
