If Seiko had affordable divers that were also accurate I would own one.
I guess "affordable" is relative, but my SBDX001 Marine Master is nearly quartz-accurate.

Re: Car Spotting

Saw a bug like this coming off the highway on my way home yesterday. "I want one of those" rang through my head. It would be fun to drop a modern Subaru engine in a Super Beetle. Horrible swap motor. They overheat like crazy in swap applications…. I’ve messed with several, including one in a 914 an...

Welcome!

For what it's worth, I think black coated watches look good with a little bit of wear.

Re: benrus citation, anyone familiar with this?

It's all-steel and looks sporty. I wouldn't mind being issued that Citation. Kind of reminds me of a Seiko 5 Sports I used to own.

200-m W/R, but it doesn't look like a screw-down crown. Looks too small.

Just kidding. Congrats on your engagement and your new place!

Property tax is the most egregious form of taxation. You never truly own your home and your land if you're forced to pay tax on it in perpetuity.

Does anyone know where I can find an Oyster-style bracelet with fitted end links for the Seiko SUG089 (4205-0143) Lady's/Boy's dive watch? My wife owned one that came on an Oyster-style bracelet. I bought it new from the Poor Man's Watch Forum shop (RIP), but I'm pretty sure the bracelet it shipped ...

Mazdas are great! CX-5 is top of the list for a used car to get my daughter when she starts driving. Seriously considering a CX-90/CX-70 as our next family car (getting tired of paying for repairs on my BMWs).
That CX-90 looks sweet. I've always been a fan of inline-6s

Re: What do you drive???

I needed a new commuter now that I no longer have a police car. I found an extremely low mileage Mazda CX-5 Touring at the local Carmax. It’s no Cayenne, but it gets me back and forth in comfort. Congratulations! Of the Japanese brands, I think Mazda builds the most mechanically and aesthetically i...

The case reminds me of that GS Quartz diver you used to own. That was a great watch.
