Re: Thoughts on watches ...

Hello Potter. A lengthy post and one I can't really be bothered reading. On the topic of what might "scream" lower class, I would add poor spelling: 'aquiring,' 'adhearance.' Perhaps you studied a science and not English at university, or perhaps you didn't attend Oxbridge.

Lovely shots Jason. Thanks for sharing. I take it it's an inland site?

What happens to the watches when they go back? Does the manufacturer keep them, sell them, what?

Congratulations Paul. I do like Breitling divers: I have a Seawolf SS blue dial and a Ti Seawolf black dial. Solid, serious divers.

Great post and great to hear from another proud dad.

The sports my son and I play are rugby and judo and I look forward to the day when my son can "take" me. Mind you, he's 11 and I'm 50, so it won't be long

Geez Paul, is that a box full of dive computers / gauges? EDIT: just thought about it - you at work? Yep! Have drawers and drawers of 'stuff'. Hehe, that's the way I describe any new dive kit that appears in my garage when my wife first notices it: "Yeah, that's just some dive 'stuff' I nee...

Re: Here is a good site on working Rolex Subs

I found site once before posted at the old forum and it got lost.Well still think it's a cool site about a British Navy diver that used a Rolex for real work and he sure has a nice collection and a lot of other neat stuff. http://diving-watch.org/ Mike O'Leary - he's featured in that new book "Divi...

That's got to be the one watch missing from my collection I would definately buy if I had the spare cash. Great photos Jason. Hope you get chance to post more of it and the Bremont being used when you're diving.

Re: Anyone see this reply to a PITA buyer on TZ?

 The guy deserves to be able to sell the watch unhindered on that alone.

In one of the schools I worked in, the PE Dept' made a small display of all the notes they received from parents excusing their children from PE; most of them were as priceless as this. Maybe we should do the same!

Do you own a plane? :bootyshake: Hahaha no. And the only time I went up in a small aircraft - a Tiger Moth - I was scared it might crash until after 10 minutes of a roller-coaster ride when I felt so ill :puke: , I hoped we would crash  Thanks guys. Trying to resist . . .

. . . thinking about a pilot's watch. I know! What's wrong with me? I only go for dive watches. Don't know anything about them though, so what kind of thing is out there? Modest(ish), not talking about IWC-type level.

Cure? Go for a dive, or just get one and be done with it?

Very stylish yet pragmatic-looking also. Bremont is the only brand where I would consider buying anything other than a diver. Look forward to your review Jason.
