Re: Straps for a Doxa 800Ti?

A lot of folks recommend curved springbars to fit a zulu on a watch without much clearance between the case and spring bar. Not sure what the lug width is, but they sell a bunch of aftermarket curved spring bars all over the internet.

I think Omega made this one specifically for my wrist. It's such a natural fit:

Re: Time to reignite the Doxa love!

A couple thoughts after wearing it for awhile. It's still a bit heavier than I remember the 1000T being. I'm going to have to fiddle with the fit and micro adjustments a bit to try to get the fit right - it's not quite comfortable on my wrist yet. For reference, my tastes have gradually been shiftin...

Nice sized storage chest for a great price. I just have a dedicated drawer in the dresser next to the bed in conjunction with a watchbox on top for watch stuff.

Their offerings never did much for me, but like those here, I haven't heard anything but good things about the company CS.

Re: Got bit by the Rolex bug

For a dress watch, the DJ is a classic choice. I wouldn't worry too much about wrist presence for a dress watch - in fact, you probably want it without much presence. You've got some larger watches, so the DJ isn't going to have any wrist presence compared to those. For the money, I think Rolex is a...

Your wife will be excited by the idea of dumping the death machine; should be easy to spin it in a favorable light. You are right about that. She has already given the go ahead for the proceeds to be spent on a watch. The only thing she hates more than my watches is my motorcycle. That i...

Re: How a watch works

No doubt my favorite video showing how a watch works. Good Sticky material. +10000 Best video I've seen in terms of explaining the inner workings of a watch. Thanks for sharing, Graeme. That was definitely helpful for me - I usually don't know too much about how the darn things actually w...

Re: Another Old Friend

I'm pretty sure I'll be loving vintage watches when today's modern watches are vintage. But for now, I'm not a huge fan other than maybe a birth year watch for a dresser.

But to have a watch that's got a story behind it, that's great. Nice watches in this thread.

Re: Time to reignite the Doxa love!

Well now I'm embarrassed to post a wrist shot since Kenneth's invaded the thread, but here you guys go. I took a few and this was the best I could manage with my point and shoot without a tripod. For reference my wrists are as massive as Kenneth's. It wears very comfortably and almost on the ...

I actually am double-wristing today since another watch came in. On one wrist, of course, the 1200T Pro  http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p258/mattjwu/watches/doxa%201200t%20pro/doxa_1200t_pro_00Large.jpg http://i130.photobucket.com/albums/p258/mattjwu/watches/doxa%201200t%20pro/doxa_1200t_p...

Re: Time to reignite the Doxa love!

Congrats Matt... how does it wear compared to the 1000T? Heavier for sure. Not quite sure if the flatter caseback makes that much of a difference. Bracelet is definitely thicker, and that's a nice change. Don't really notice the difference in dials at all. HRV on this guy is a little dinky and hone...

Time to reignite the Doxa love!

I'm reunited! Many months after foolishly sending my 1000T Pro over to a couple of Vikings, I've finally been reunited with one that I shouldn't have let go of in the first place (okay, not the exact same one). My 1200T has arrived! The thicker bracelet is a nice addition. It's a bit heavier,...
