Re: Servicing a Scurfa (and in general, other “affordables”
Thanks for all the responses guys, been a brutal work week just jumping back on DWC. - Don - thanks. Actually bought the Lum-Tec at their “show room” in Ohio when I was traveling through for work. Great guys. Planning on emailing Paul just to see what he says. And I love the Ares, but there has def...

If it wasn’t for the polished center links I would buy one of these the second they hit Joma for like $250

Re: New Hamilton Khaki Navy Frogman 41mm and Scuba 43mm Green
Thanks for posting these Tom. I never owned a Hamilton before but I can see making the 41 my first. A question for those who have had watches with the crown protector thing: does it make setting the time a PITA? It all depends on way it’s designed but if it’s got a good clearance i find it easier a...

Those 41mm frogmen are now on my list. I love the watch but can’t do 46mm at all anymore unless it’s a G.

Shh. It’s better than any other logo they have ever had. Hush or they will change it again. Lol. They have always had trouble with logos. I still think it’s better than CW or Chr. Ward etc .ezcheese wrote:Yeah, I'm also not a fan of the current logo

Re: Servicing a Scurfa (and in general, other “affordables”
I’ve never had to deal with scurfa for anything but I can’t imagine Paul wouldn’t take care of it Lumtec is in Ohio, they assemble all their watches (and countless others for other brands) and regulate movements etc, you’ll have no issue with them if you ever need anything. Ares you’ll probably wait...

Re: I’m sure you all can relate. Wives and watches.
I wish my wife liked hers long enough to need the battery replaced.... re-selling womens watches is tough sledding. All of the watches she currently owns I bought for her, either just because or birthday or Christmas gifts and she does love all of them. But doesn’t store them like we do. Just throw...

I’m sure you all can relate. Wives and watches.
So three of my wife’s watches need batteries and I’m taking them to the jeweler today. A cheap Casio, a Tissot and a Momentum. After our late breakfast today I see her grabbing a small ziploc bag and walking into the living room. I yelled at her, “are you planning on taking your 3 watches and throwi...

Re: Steel Marathon Navigator?
The date window is just inexcusable. I hate watches with a date placement like this and this is one of the worst I have seen. The price is also crazy but marathon watches just aren’t cheap anymore.

Re: Help me identify this SKX009 strap
Heres the best part. It is an original seiko strap. Check out the pic below. The guy i bought it from mentioned he bought it as is in japan, however i just came to know that its not a J model. It doesnt say "WP japan" behind on the caseback and "made in japan" on the dial. So its either a singapore...

The name is less than ideal, curious who he came up with that. This is perhaps for future plans for that company to offer other products beyond watches? My wife tells me that cargo pants are coming back into style... so maybe they will capitalize on all of the crazy shit that the EDC crowd brings t...

I like this one a lot. Should I go yellow or finally give in to my strange desire for something two-tone? I’ve had that strange desire as well but what always holds me back is it’s not real gold (obviously) and it always stops me. Something kind of like women’s fashion jewelry to me. Sent from my i...

I’ll throw my review up here for those that haven’t seen it. It’s a great watch for the price but I do discuss the bezel action, the quick change pins and the lume.

Re: Looking For opinions On The Nezumi Voiture Chronograph
I had the OG model. Wasn’t anything special. They let watches with typo on the dial thru QC out to customers. I remember that. I reviewed the original about 8 years ago now. In fairness though, Christopher Ward put out that super compressor with the words being off center on the dial, and that was ...
