Re: Ægir watches coming

looks great!... I also prefer the CD-2.

I'm glad to see more and more new watches with the hex screws for the lugs... maybe that'll help avoid lug scratches... plus it looks really cool :bananastoner:

Picked up a Seal

Was able to trade for a Seal last week... had some scratches on the bezel so I did a quick brush job. Slapped on a new leather strap and Voila! Gotta work on the lug scratches when I get a chance. http://i353.photobucket.com/albums/r378/ikkoku94/Kobold/IMG_2526Medium.jpg http://i353.photobucket.com/...

Re: New Ocean7 LM-1

I ordered one to try out. but just found out (after ordering, of course  ) the lug to lug to be 56mm  ... I hope I can pull it off. I hate impulse buys.. I'd figure it was Xmas time and I need to get a gift for myself. If it was tax season, I might have held off.

Re: Flipping - how much do you loose?

I think that just posting here on this forum cured my watch blues. My longines misery is getting closer to an solution involving a new guarantee card. And I bought a new watch today! It's mechanical, and it's swiss. Details later! You certainly will not be losing nearly any money on your...

will scotch brite (green one) scratch the crystal?

need to brush out a scratch on the bezel and don't really feel like removing the bezel... laziness mainly... was just wondering if I do try to brush it with scotch brite if it'll scratch the sapphire crystal. Guess I can tape the crystal also, but I can never do a good tape job... especially if the ...

Re: Just in - BOND CHRONO

Just an excuse to post pictures of a watch I've been wanting for awhile. Mildly relevant in this thread, but whatever :fro: If only it didn't have that darn problematic 3301 movement that's scaring me away from pulling (no, not the trigger) out my credit card. I actually had a chance to pick this o...

Re: Flipping - how much do you loose?

buy to try out new/different watches... and flip when you research and find something else you want to try. It's the only way you can try out a lot of watches with a small budget. After a while you will know what kind of watch you'd buy for keepers. "Borrowing" a watch for a few weeks/months for the...

Re: IT'S FRIDAY!

Just got this from the mailroom... cracked open the box and slipped on. Thinking of strap options now. Sinn rubber? leather? Looks great, Kin! It wears well on you. NATO is a great option on the SEAL, but the nice thing about the watch is that it's one of the few that wears pretty well on any optio...

Re: Doxa lovers... $400 for an extra 1mm and HRV worth it?

Are any of the watches we buy truly worth it for the price we pay? I guess to the ones that buy the 1200 it is. It's a fine watch, but I'm a 750 guy myself. That's the only one DOXA had to make as far as I'm concerned. Well, that and the T-Graph. I agree. I'm waiting for a 750T re-edition

Doxa lovers... $400 for an extra 1mm and HRV worth it?

So Doxa is coming out with the 1200T HRV... early presales price is 1890. as far as I can tell, the 1000t can still be had for 1490 if I click on the Order Here link. Same width as the 1000T but just a mm thicker. minor cosmetics changes. BUT it does come with the GMT bracelet and can go 200M deeper...

great review... everything is spot on. It's refreshing for me to get a non date watch. Also, it has gotten me interested in Kobold also.
I do like the hands on the SMG better tho.
