I like a lot about it but that aspect of the case ruins it for me. I'm also not sold on the second hand.

I took my Pelagos on a boat and then in the ocean!! It got rinsed at some point but the next day the bezel was sticky. I soaked it and it was fine. Today (weeks later so probably unrelated) it was sticky again, a few turns and it’s now back to normal. I’ve looked on line but can’t get a clear answer...
