Re: Seamaster Professional Diver 300M Review
Next time I talk to them, I'll let them know that they should be producing steel-back options. Omega is happy to make 40 different color combinations for one model of watch, I don't know why they wouldn't just make a steel back version that's also available. It's not like it takes some incredible fe...

It's almost worth it just to get it 4 months ahead of time, not to mention the 5spy movement.

Re: First-Ever Grand Seiko Quartz GMTs
Also, just the ability to adjust the hour hand independently on a HAQ is super useful for different TZs and DST. Otherwise, your watch could be sufficiently accurate for a decade, but if you have to set the time twice a year (or more) anyway, it may not make a big difference.

Hodinkee's "One-watch" article
It just might have to be this one: Rolex oyster 40mm case w/ triplock crown; second timezone bezel that can also be used as a dive timer, chronograph with screw down pushers, date, porcelain panda configuration, and a sapphire crystal all in a very attractive and legible execution. The Tudor 79270 “...

Re: Thoughts on the Bremont Supermarine S301/BK
The case on the Bremont looks more visually interesting than the Tudor, but the Black Bay 58's dial and top hat crystal just looks richer to by eyes. The Bremont's dial looks basic and flat with the printed indices. The Tudor dial just catches my eye as much more visually interesting. BTW - I haven...

Thoughts on the Bremont Supermarine S301/BK
I’m not sure where to begin with the S301; it’s undeniably attractive, it’s legit with its 300m of water resistance, and it’s sized just right at 40mm. There’s an option for a bracelet, but the custard lume goes great with the supple brown strap with custard stitch highlights. The “patina” extends t...

Re: Tudor Black Bay GMT Review
something new to me, BB increase thickness with in-house movement to 14.8mm? What is the ETA mvt case thickness? I believe it was about 12.8mm. The in-house version is significantly thicker, but it looks like they wanted to produce a single case that could hold all of their future movements, so the...

Re: Tudor Black Bay GMT Review
A couple of the pics make the bluelook pretty dark. I know it’s just the pics, but it gives a bit of a feel for how a black bezel version would look. I think I can chance waiting for that. This is actually bluer than it is in a lot of lighting. Tudor's stock photos are kind of misleading with their...

Re: Tudor Black Bay GMT Review
What's the crown tube/collar/whatever made of? I understand it's the color of steel, but is it steel? I've been wondering that myself--I'm not sure if it's still aluminum or not. My guess is that it's steel, and I say that because I think aluminum was chosen because of its superior ability to be an...
