Re: RIP Chester Bennington (Linkin Park singer)

It seems pretty typical for many to label the act of taking one's life as selfish. I likely have also said it at some point. I wonder though how true it really is. I've never had baggage like being molested as a kid, leading to drug problems, mental issues etc later. I have to think that when unspe...

Re: RIP Chester Bennington (Linkin Park singer)

I'm in the middle of this one. Selfish? yes. Did he really want to kill himself? Of course not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Admittedly, I've not read the story yet, but what do you mean by "he didn't want to kill himself"?? Are you saying it was an accident? I think it goes without saying th...

Re: Nodus Watch's Trieste

Worse than the Bathyscaphe, and I'm not really a fan of that watch either. Me either. There's too much landscape between the indices for me and that crater of a gap between the case and strap is horrid. For the price tag, I would have expected more. Not like I'll be in the market for one at any poi...

Congrats, Ed. Looks great on the wrist and the 20mm NATO works very well. I wish to hell I could have gotten in on this at the retail level. Life's too short to be broke!

Hold on a second. What post of Wayne's did you delete, Terry? And if it happened in your subforum, in some other thread, why in the hell is it spilling over here?

What the actual fuck is happening here? How about this. Neither of you deal with this shit in this thread in this subforum. Wayne, if you got beef, you guys either handle it on your own or hash it out in Terry's subforum. This ain't the place for it. Thanks.

She can put any dial she wants in those cases but the second she put Limited Edition 6105 it is now counterfeit and a blatant misrepresentation. What the fuck is wrong with people? Can't they just leave well enough alone?! Fuck!

Sorry but can the OP not post pics requiring logging into another forum just to view pics, please? If nothing else, upload as an attachment or just link from whatever host you are using to post pics on USN. I'm a USN member but I'm not going there to look at pics. Thanks!

Re: Another Reason Why I Love Seiko

$125 for shipping to Japan? How? Is that thru fedex or UPS next day air or something? Side note, I've wondered if Seiko Japan would still service these old watches. I have thought about sending my 6306 and 6105 to Japan but not if they would end up replacing any parts like the dial, hands, crown, or...

Re: Best place for reluming

I've used Jack several times for different things over the years. Of course, at this time I'm no longer considering having anyone touch the lume on my 6306 but possibly someday down the road. I haven't used the word "keeper" in a while but suffice to say my 6105 and at least 3 others will never get ...

Re: FUBAR Rolex Journey

I was just told it is running +8 without any adjustment. So once we get the new jewel we might be able to dial it in a little more. I gotta say, that is pretty damn impressive when you figure the damage done to this entire watch. You just might have a fully functioning and accurate watch out of thi...

Re: Best place for reluming

So here's the gist of what Spencer said in response to my email about reluming, the grey tint, and flaking concerns. Apparently, the aged lume combined with some humidity and sunlight caused the lume to turn this nice grey color. He asked about my seals but I think they're fairly recent and certainl...

Re: Best place for reluming

I've emailed Spencer Klein and await his response and recommendations. I might see about some minimal lume application. It wouldn't hurt to be able to see the hands at night, even if just a faint glow. There is absolutely none left.

Jack, IWW, yes very familiar. Wasn't there a thread here a while back about Kent Parks? Or maybe it was in the thread about Ken Setser that Parks got mentioned as a good source. Best place for reluming

We've probably discussed this topic before, but I don't recall anything recent. I'm contemplating sending my Seiko 6306 in to have the lume redone. It died out a long time ago, and wearing it all day outside recently during an archery tournament turned it a nice gray color, but I'm worried the next ...
