Re: Brando's 1675 sold today at auction. Stupid $

value is based on what someone is willing to pay. The buyer is not buying "a tool watch". It's a piece of art/history that has tremendous value. It would be like saying a Mickey Mantle rookie card is just a piece of cardboard......

Re: Marlon Brando’s Rolex GMT from Apocalypse Now just sold for….

It’s doesn’t simply appear to be missing the GMT bezel, but looks to have a plain bezel, possibly from a Datejust or other model. it’s said Brando removed the bezel and bracelet to make it look less dressy and more like a watch a soldier would have worn. Marlon Brando’s Rolex GMT from Apocalypse Now just sold for….

Re: Here we go again…

I have a PAM000, PAM190, and PAM372, all of which I've owned for many years, so there are some models that I consider long-term keepers. I'm not interested in any of the recent releases, however. I have to disagree with Ron's opinion of the 372 when compared to the 127 - I certainly don't think the...

Re: Here we go again…

my 2 cents…. I was an early Paneristi …joined in 2001. For the most part, the current Panerai is a bastardized version of the original and for me…does not have the same soul. For their asking prices, I’d opt for different companies. That being said, the classic Panerai watches from the early 2000’s ...

Re: WRUW ---> Tuesday 10/10/23 <---

quick question....why would you want the U50 if you have the U1? Not trying to be snarky....I'm considering my first Sinn and deciding between the two. I lean towards the U1 because I'm large and the U1 is larger...but I hear the U50 has a better movement and bezel? Fair question. I saw this as an ...

The U50-P returned from Chris today. Unfortunately, his watch guy could not remove the case back. I opted to have the watch returned without risking damage from a non-Sinn repair center. While I have both, I might as well post a pic. https://i.imgur.com/oRNvmtU.jpg quick question....why would you w...
