Re: Battle of GMT watches... Airman 2000 vs Eterna KonTiki G

Re: It just dawned on me that there is no GMT PO
Is that using their super unreliable PO Chrono movement? I heard the newest production chronos are Okay but the earlier ones are time bombs.

Battle of GMT watches... Airman 2000 vs Eterna KonTiki GMT
They're both in the same range between 1000-1360, the Kontiki is brand new and the Airman 2000 is excellent condition. Not sure what to choose here. I prefer the design of the Eterna more but the Airman has some cool history behind it. I have a suspicion that the Eterna is probably better made as we...

Re: Some Watch Photos - hope you're not on dial up
Surprisingly I've actually made money on my hobby so far than lost. Depending on the resale value of that stow chrono I preordered, I should stay that way. It's the new watches I think that kill you in the long run.

The never ending quest for the grail and the lack of unlimited funds. This was done over a span of 1.5 years.

Re: WTF were they thinking?@?!?1
I feel like I have to see the new Breitlings in person to make a call. But yeah, they don't look impressive in photos. I think the new IWCs although starting to get ridiculous size (Big Ingenieur, Big Yacht Club) are looking the bet these days. They're also reintroducing their heritage or vintage li...

Re: Some Watch Photos - hope you're not on dial up
There's one on TZ righ now for $1500 for a Ebel chrono using their partially in house movement. It's a really sweet watch. They're part of the Movado group but I found the Discovery series to be very well made.
Forgot my second speedy and a Glycine Bl*w Job, so I added them in.

Forgot the Ebel which is a sweet underrated piece with high value for money.
I think the 2500C is already pretty thick, I imagine the 8500 isn't that much thicker if you consider the Aquaterra 8500 models.

Some Watch Photos - hope you're not on dial up
Going through some of my old photos, thought I'd post these for nostalgia's sake. Of the ones I flipped, I think I miss the Planet Ocean the most. Might have to pick one of them up again once they finally put in the 8500. I flipped all of them except the Portuguese. http://www.jae-designs.com/lightr...

Never liked that watch until I saw these photos. It's amazing how good photography can create such appeal.

Re: WUS does not delete threads!!
Still better than TZ. I am not big fan of their default format nor the fact that they deleted my thread requesting help to track down someone who scammed a IWC Ingenieur out of me in their forum.

Hello and some IWC pics
I was introduced to this forum through a recent NYC get together and it was a pleasure to talk watches with people who seem even more into watches than I am. My friends have been getting tired of my recent horological obsession so this is a pretty good outlet for me to geek/dork out on time pieces. ...

Re: Invicta does it again, rips off a new Bremont design!
I think its one thing to make a homage watch to a discontinued vintage watch... quite another to basically clone very cheaply a main line watch that is still in production.

The easy give away on that fake PO are the feet on the Omega logo, should be flat.
