Re: What do you drive???
Wife decided to try an EV for her commute. Been a good little car so far. Was $20k off MSRP with only 2,000 miles on the odo. Used EV's are the best deal going right now. Has literally 4x the horsepower of my wife's old hybrid. https://i.imgur.com/OKBGeYE.jpg I like these a lot and I tend to dislik...

That one gives me more of the SBDX MarineMaster than I thought. I might need that.

Re: I think Seiya is shutting down.
I hope he's doing ok. I've been stalking the site to see Tunas come back, but his inventory just keeps dropping as if he's working his way out of the business.

Re: New Seiko Thread
I have two extremely accurate Turtles at +5 s/d or less, and my MM300 is very consistent at +8 s/d. As far as most of my 6R's go it depends on what direction the wind is blowing that day. [emoji16] I've found they can drift from + s/d one week, and then a month later when I wear it again it's - s/d...

Re: New Seiko Thread
I love the obnoxious gold Turtle. I wish I would have kept it. The sunburst dial just laid on the extra hairy chest charm. I always undid and extra shirt button when I wore it. Fuck yeah!! I sold my first one and they are no longer in production so it took some time to find my current one pri...

Re: New Seiko Thread
All have been horrible timekeepers and even the ones have had adjusted eventually drift anyway. My Willard (purchased new) started out great. It was nearly quartz accurate. Then it started slowing down, losing like 40 s/d. I sent it in for warranty service, and it came back running great. It's been...

Re: New Seiko Thread
I really like the two LE versions of the 62MAS, but I also think that Seiko could have decided to NOT make them LE and thus sold them cheaper. In any case, I just bought an SPB143 (for the second time). Maybe I should sell all my Seikos and try to grab one of the LE’s, just not sure if I’ll enjoy i...

Re: New Argos Odyssey
I can't quite figure out exactly why, but I really don't like that bracelet. Maybe it is too standard looking, but it looks like something off a Fossil or Relic watch to me.

Re: Looking for a new man purse
Tom Bihn makes some really good stuff. I love their bags and they have tons of accessories, pouches, etc. Most of it is ballistic nylon or halcyon ripstop nylon. It's all made in the USA and they have a pretty good return policy where you can order a bunch of stuff and check it out in person and th...

Looking for a new man purse
Ok, seriously though I have a bit of a Filson obsession and I want to get a dopp kit, but I don't know that I love their options. I definitely want it to be less than $100, but I don't feel like this is something I need to spend a bunch of money on. I just got the medium duffle dry bag, but I'm tire...

Re: What happened to the 300m Tunas?
Stock/production seems to fluctuate during certain times of the year. As a side note, anybody else notice that Seiya’s inventory is pretty thin. Yeah, I noticed that too. It was the first place I looked since I've bought so many watches from him over the years. I just bought a GW5000 from him a few...

That's a good price. I may try contacting them.jswing wrote: ↑Fri Sep 08, 2023 10:04 amSakura says they can ship in 2-4 days. I've never bought from them, but a lot of the Seiko guys do.

What happened to the 300m Tunas?
Are these not a thing anymore? I thought the SBBN045 came out just a couple of years ago. I'm getting an itch for another Seiko and for around the $1k mark the 300m Tuna is a watch I've owned multiple times and I can rely on the quartz a lot better than their hit and miss autos. I can't find a new 3...

Re: Orient Mako III
I had a pre sapphire crystal Mako years ago. I really liked it. I should take a look. I like the red one but it seems a bit too similar for colors as my Spinnaker. I could go for a blue dial, that was always a classic with this one.

Re: Pink dial you got to be kidding
I would buy that watch if it were just a little larger. I can’t wrap my head around a 37 mm watch, even if it has a relatively normal lug to lug measurement. I think the color is perfect Agree. At around 40mm I would consider it. It's definitely pink, but subtle. I like the subtleness with the sunb...
