Re: A bit disappointing
Well, it's not looking good so far. +20 seconds in the first 24 hours. I'll give it this week to see if it settles down. Right now? I'm having a Certified Chronometer my ass! feeling about this one. Takes +20 secs to set it to +5! It wont settle down, if it not a brand new watch, so it will run +20

Re: A bit disappointing
Found this on the net -5 so one second off if it's certified chronometer. A standard modern mechanical watch will be accurate to +/-10 seconds per day. The best Swiss mechanical watches ("certified chronometers") are rated at -4/+6 seconds per day. Well, it's the engineer in me. It's a chronometer,...

Re: Resco Sea Pearl
Awful, and +$200 for pvd seems excessive I think Todd from Aegir watches says this is about the price for dlc/pvd. To be fair, that is what it costs me to have done to each case. I was trialing a few to see if there was interest, so am happy to sell them on at the cost to me. I would expect any bus...

Re: I should love it but I don't
ok so has anyone bought a really nice watch that you really wanted then once you got it it just didnt work for you? Case in point: I purchased a Seiko GMT SpringDrive from Seiya about a year or so ago and have worn it like 6 times, it ticked all the boxes super well made, sapphire bezel, continuous...

No Credit to me, just lucky to have been able to buy. Love these CD2s, would definately buy the next version if Todd is so inclined to feed us something new! That was/is the plan, but $AUD against the Euro is down 30% or more, and forecast for worse, so I am waiting it out. Will sell the current CD...

Re: Minor scratches
It's "root, hog or die" not "and die". Anyway, it is an old southern expression (well, at any rate Texas) that means you have to make it on your own, toughen up, fight through it, quit bitching and get it done. Most often used inspirationaly as in "boys, we're down 6 points and there is 2 minutes l...

Re: CD2 Bronze
What would be more expensive, bronze or titianium? have to ask Fricker, but I laughed at their Ti price. Per case, and we are talking some 3 years back, without assembly, no movement, hands dial, etc, 600 Euro per piece. Grade 5 Ti is not expensive, though it does take time to machine, but they are...

Re: CD2 Bronze
No, not for Aegir. I would do them at a fraction over cost, assembled in Germany by Fricker as well to save me a lot of work if 25 people were interested in them. I say a fraction over, if I got one on my own wrist from the project, then I would be happy. I am sure Fricker would not use Brass! They...

There is wine, and there is wine. There is French wine, and there is french wine which uses anti freeze (which killed a few people some years back) There are Micros that are built in the places they say, and use the parts from places they say, not many, but a few. Hello y'all, This is my first time to post on this forum. I have just begun acquiring dive watches: so far I have a bronze Archimede, a Dievas GMT and an Aegir CD1. Unfortunately, despite great care, I have somehow managed to get a very light scratch on the bezel on my CD1 right above the 12 marker...
