Micro Brand Limits or maybe, Where do they go?
I struggled to think of a definitive title for this thread and am not sure "Micro Brand Limits" really is best. At any rate, here's what I'm curious about. What do you suppose determined what model watch a maker will offer and why are some very popular models dropped from the lineup. For example, wh...

Re: Helson Tortuga and Squale 1000 Meter Professional
I wonder why this watch is going for more than a new watch of the same model. Any ideas?

http://imageshack.com/a/img801/8811/1e2q.jpg What about this 1975 Scubapro MkII regulator, perfectly working as my second regulator for more than 35 years? Anytime I put my diving gear on there is someone who wants to buy it  Ha, I used a MKII second stage, just like yours, as my octopus conne...

Re: Helson Tortuga and Squale 1000 Meter Professional
A few weeks ago there were two or three Tortuga's on Watchrecon, none at the moment though. It really is a good watch and worth waiting for. The Miyota movement has proved to be very accurate and reliable so far in mine. http://www.thedivewatchconnection.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=19631 http://i...

Re: Helson Tortuga and Squale 1000 Meter Professional
Thanks guys. I think I am deficient in some way in that I never notice a watch until it is no longer being made.

Helson Tortuga and Squale 1000 Meter Professional
Guys, I really like the cases used on the Tortuga and the 1000 meter Squale. The Tortuga is no lomger in production and the Squale is somewhat out of reach for me at this time. Are you aware of any other maker using a similar case design?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

That looks beautiful. I especially like the stainless bezel. Wish Seiko offered the watch just like yours.

Re: Just Placed Order
Thanks for all the kind words guys.
Anyone who has not yet purchased an sAs watch needs to get on the stick. These are beautifully made watches with a great ETA movement.

Re: Vintage Scubapro Swag
When I was younger, all my dive gear was ScubaPro. This piece, and its waterproof case, is all I still have: http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g21/WhiteWillie/P1010010.jpg I have always wondered why a decompression computer needed a water proof case. But, ScubaPro sold it, so I bought it. Such a fan...

Re: Just Placed Order
My black watch arrived yesterday and it is superb. It arrived on the nice black rubber strap shown in photo. I am impressed by everything about the watch and the buying experience. Thanks Graeme! This photo was taken using my cell phone because I just wanted to get something posted quickly. I'll fol...

Dagaz Typhoon?
Does anyone know how to order or pre-order one of these watches? I find nothing on the website and have not received a response from Jake to questions posted on Facebook.
Any help would be appreciated.
